I understand that this is personal. I just want ideas to contrast with the ones I have in mind already. I want to pop the question in such a way that she never doubt my intrest in doing it right.

how about you take her out - ANYWHERE - fancy restuarant, beach, mountains, anywhere that has a special atmosphere, and is romantic.
Then instead of doing the boring - ring in champagne, on food, etc. WHY DONT YOU KISS THE RING INTO HER MOUTH?
Think about that one?

O0o0o to contrast with what you probably have in mind, how about you go to her job, and just pop up and have roses and candy and a bear and get down on one knee in front of everyone in the office and let it all out OR you could wait until that night and if she likes dogs or cats buy a collar and attach a ring to the collar or that animal and when she looks at u already be on one knee and do you ! ! That would be awesome !

Some friends of mine just got engaged on St. patty's day. We all went to a bar and we were partying and the groom had the bar put the ring in a jello shot for her. She had no clue till she got her shot and then he went down on one knee in front of the whole bar. Needless to say they are getting married and will be serving jello shots at the reception as their signature shot. It was very cute and different.

im no expert at all on this subject but how about you send her roses with a card and the ring in it she opens it and it asks herr to marry you corny but to the point or you could take her out to a fancy resteraunt and for a carriage ride or something and ask her to marry you

take her to ur fav spot one that means alot to you both and then do something to get EVERYONES attention and then get on your knee and do ur thing.... she will be speach less....and never forget it either... good luck
