Start off by talking about some funny memories when you were younger but keep them short. Then talk about now and the future wish them luck, and always at the end, ask everyone to raise their glasses for a toast to the couple.
Start with the funny stuff, end with serious. And keep it simple so you'll remember it. You'll do great!!!

Instead of trying to write about the bride and groom together, and in order to avoid talking solely about your relationship with the groom (don't want to leave the bride out), why don't you talk about when you first realized your brother was in love with your new sister-in-law?
My husband's brother was the best man in our wedding and he spoke about the time he first realized his brother was in love with me. It was the best speech I had heard from a best man in about 4 weddings and I'm so glad it was the speech at my wedding. Even though he didn't talk about me specifically, he still made me feel special.

Don't run too long, but if you don't know the bride very well you can tell a personal story and let the listeners feel included on something you learned from your brother, or how he made a right choice, or overcame funny obstacle, yadda yadda, in a funny but meaningful way.... and that's why you have faith in his decision and their marriage....
Be honest, whatever you say will be perfect and you aren't graded. I know its important to come through for your brother... so you will.

Then it will be a good speech. Keep it short & with a lot of humor. List some silly, stupid & crazy things you have done with your brother, as wellas some he has done that you are aWARE OF. List the 5 traits that you best like about your brother. Then go for it - it'll be AWESOME!

Something from the heart is appropriate....just nothing bawdy.
I love the best man speech on the wedding planner movie. So if you run out of ideas try that.

no inside jokes, no jokes about crude events that happened on the bucks night, rather, reminisce about the good ol' days when you guys were young, link it to how you'll always be there for each other as mates, colleagues (if you are), and most of all, brothers (cue "aww" from audience). "i remember one time" story goes here. something about how the bride is so lucky. end on an appropriate joke about the "one time" story. good luck

Simple, you don't. Take a trip to your local hallmark store, and write down a few statements from different cards that may sound like it would be something you would say. J/K. I think the best speech would be one you don't have to think about, you should already know what to say. Stop trying to make it sound good and say what's in your heart.

Remember to make the toast to the bride and groom before you get too drunk to forget their names. Make sure your tongue isn't hanging out when you mention how lovely the bride looks. Maybe say something about how the two of them met.
