We bought my wedding and engagement band set in 1980. it is 14kt yellow and rose gold~the band has roses carved into it in 14 kt rose gold and there are 14kt yellow gold leaves between each rose. I am trying to replace it. I bought it at Dobbs jewelry which has since then closed, i cannot remember the name of the company that made the ring other than it started with the letter B. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Barb

I am working with about a $2000 budget for the honeymoon. If we do fly out, we will be flying out of Houston, TX. I'm looking for something in Mexico or the Caribbean but nothing very "touristy". I've seen a lot of package deals on the internet sites (expedia, travelocity, etc.) but I'm not sure if they are what I'm looking for. Any first hand info would be great! Anything in Texas that I'm overlooking would be great too. Thanks!

i've only ever been to 3 weddings, one was my mums, one was my aunt's (and both of those i was like 10) and my partners brothers wedding which wasnt the same style of wedding as this one. Sooooo...i have no idea what to wear. The wedding is in 3 weeks, i'm panicing like crazy. It's listed on the invite as a formal wedding, ceremony at 3 followed by dinner at a fancy venue.

Here is my dillema....
1. I will not wear a dress
2. I'm a bigger gal so it's a little harder for me to find clothes
3. skirt or pants??
4. what type of shoes??
5. jewellery??
6. what kind of top do i wear (i was thinking about a sleeveless shirt with a little black shrug??)

its only a small wedding (40 people) so i'm guessing that we are gonna be in some photos and i dont want to look awful

please help....

My fiancé and I have decided to serve the wedding cake as dessert rather that giving it to our guest in boxes. Would this be proper?

My bf has proposed to me, but I have not yet met his parents because he is waiting for his (somewhat reluctant) elder brothers to tie the knot first, out of respect for his family. Its not like I'm a complete secret to the rest of his family, just the parents and elder brothers. I get along fine with all his friends and younger siblings and their families. Should I put off marrying him until I meet his mother? My relationship with mine kind of went sour over the whole relationship, and I was kind of looking forward to gaining the love of another, as well as stopping all the lies and cover-ups.

Please don't just hate, I just need some opinions.

I am having a Lunch buffet for an August Wedding. Do I offer hors d'oeuvres? If so, how many per person? The buffet will have a salad, 3 choices for an entree (sirloin, chicken & salmon), red potatoes, veggie medley and 5 choices of cake slices! They can get 2nds and even 3rds. Is offering hors d'oeuvres over kill? Should I just add a soup or fancy fruit cup for starters?

I am getting married in about 3 weeks and am sorta scared of it in a way. This will be my 3rd time doing this (sad, I know) and I do not want to make another "mistake" so to speak. How do you know the difference? Please, only serious answers, I do not need to be ridiculed. Thank you-
