What country are you in? I have never heard of this tradition. When you say"hen night" are you talking about a bachelorette party? And I have no idea what an "L plate" is.

I'm in the U.S., and when I got married, if anyone had attached stuff to my veil, I'd have been really upset - it was custom-made by my designer and sewn onto an antique hair ornament. So, to me this prank would be offensive. Does this tradition depend on a cheap veil that can be abused?

Depends on how smutty you want it to be, you could attach condoms, L plates anything you like. If this is what you want then definitely head to Ann summers. If not you could make a really girly veil with fairies, sweets, flowers etc up to you but whatever you do enjoy!

You can add anything you want, or have her be different. I chose not to wear the veil - however, I got the white baseball cap with roses and the veil attached to the back - I wore that out for a night of drinks and laughs.

You should traditionally include horseshoes (not real ones of course!) as they are supposed to bring luck. Other than that try love hearts and an L Plate!

Attaching things like that is so common and cheap. Why don't you all have a sensible meal out together with lots of flowers.
