My father died when I was young and I have always looked up to my big brother. I have always cried at weddings during the father/daughter dances knowing I would never have that special moment with my father. I have decided to dance with my brother as a way to honor my father's memory and also to share a special moment with my brother who I love dearly. Please help me find a good song!!

I would like to find a clear acrylic square wedding cake topper that says today I married my friend. I have found the daisy shaped one all over the place, but don't really care for it. I would like to find one that is big enough to have our names and date engraved on it, but since we are having a very small wedding (50 or less) we don't want it to be too big for the cake. Any suggestions? We are getting married May 25, 2007 so I need to get it fairly soon so that I can get the engraving done. Thanks!

For my cousin's bridal shower we have asked all of the guests to bring receipes. I am then going to compile them and make a cook book.

I wanted to come up with a catchy title. Something that reference's her new last name and the fact that these are receipes from family & friends.

This is what I have: "Generations...Recipes for "THE KNEE'S"

Do you have a better sugestion?

PS- "Knee" will be her new last name.

OK, so I have already sent out my save the date cards. Roughly 7 to 8 months ago. My big problem now is that a few of the people I sent them to…. have well to make a long story short.... gone crazy... they are no longer people that I am close with (although I am polite and make chit chat with them) and they have had major falling out with most of my other guests it has turned into my high school nightmare... of course my bridesmaids all rock and tell me to do what ever makes me happy... but honestly the ones who have gone off the deep end are completely in the wrong… my other guests did nothing wrong!

My question is... what is the proper thing to do... if I send them a save the date do I HAVE to send them an invite? If I don't send an invite do I have to sit and tell them why?

Have any other brides been through this.. any words of wisdom.. thanks

I'm getting married in September. For the Rehersal we are going to have Stake and Shrimp and Chicken Strips for the kids. There are going to be about 50 people there and we're having a hard time figuring out how many pounds of shrimp we need. We're going to boil them in a big fryer with potatos, corn, mushrooms and sausage. His Mom said that she would just get 200 lbs. But we think that is way to much. I mean we're haveing the stake and baked potatos, etc. Some of my family doesn't even eat sea food. How many pounds of shrimp do you think we need for 50 people?

I live in Pennsylvania and after my fiance and I get married I'm not able to take very much time off of work to go somewhere far away from a honeymoon. Any suggestions of nice places in/near PA for a few days?

I'm 20 years old and getting married and have been saving up to take my fiance to Hawaii for our honeymoon, though I've never traveled much before. I hate to say that I'm ignorant on basically all that must be done, from pre-travel procedures to the airport to the destination and all. If anyone out there understands what must be done well, I would truely appreciate your help lol. Thanks!

My younger cousin, who is more like my little sister just backed out of my wedding this weekend. We have always been extremely close and I have always gone out of my way to be there for her. She is a dancer and I am actually flying to my hometown 500 miles away to be there for her senior dance concert. She just told me that with the new dance group that she is going to be in, she will not be able to be in or even attend my wedding since they have an out-of-town performance that day. Keep in mind that this is just a leisure hobby of hers and not a career. So now I have 2 weeks until we have to put the bridesmaid dress orders in to make it in time for the wedding and I am short a bridesmaid! She said to me today to wait a few weeks and she will see if there is anything she can do. Well I don't have a few weeks! I told her to forget it and I would find someone else. My mom keeps telling me that I am being to harsh but at this point I feel like, don't even bother. Am I wrong?

I'm 20 and I'm noticing that a lot of people from my graduating class are starting to marry. The number of marriages from 18-21 seem to be increasing quite a bit. Has anyone else noticed this trend? I find this suprising because now that people are living longer it seems like people would be getting married later.

So I am getting married soon, and I was wondering how couples handle money.

Do they have two separate bank accounts, each with their name? or Joint accounts where each of them have access to as much money as they want?

(Both of us are going to be working full time- We will both have money)

I have decided on having my bridesmaids wear black dresses. The groomsmen tuxes are black also, but everyone keeps telling me that it is way too much black for a summer wedding. Any suggestions on how I can make it a little more seasonal? I want my pictures to come out pretty, and I don't want it to look like a huge black ocean taking over.

A professional photographer that is a "friend" of my fiance agreed to photograph our wedding. He does great work and we got a good deal on the price. Well, 3 weeks before the wedding, he had the chance to take a good job overseas so we got screwed. We realize he can't be too good of a friend to do this to us. Anyway, I'm not going to trip about it(enough stress already) and we decided that since so many relatives and friends have nice digital cameras, we have asked them to take as many photos as possible. Then, once we are back from our honeymoon, we will go have portraits taken. My question is, what are some of the shots we need to ask our friends to take of us? If anyone has a list, I would greatly appreciate it, thanks.

My sister in law is getting married and is on a super low budget. Just to use the facilities at the church is really expensive, so we figured to have dinner at a local steakhouse where they said we can have the cake and things set up. So it will be sort of like a reception, but just like a dinner for everyone to gather at. Cake will absolutely be free (as any other reception), but I was wondering how we could invite the handful of guests that are going to attend and inform them that if they want to eat dinner, they should pay for that.
I can't word this without it sounding tacky, but my sister in law would love for people to join us for dinner, we just don't have the budget to feed people. I know with any usual reception the food is provided, but this is more like a "gathering" to congratulate the happy couple.
Isn't there a way to word this where it doesn't sound odd/tacky?
HELP! Thanks!!!
