My father died when I was young and I have always looked up to my big brother. I have always cried at weddings during the father/daughter dances knowing I would never have that special moment with my father. I have decided to dance with my brother as a way to honor my father's memory and also to share a special moment with my brother who I love dearly. Please help me find a good song!!

My Father died when I was fifteen. I have 4 brothers and when I got married I decided to ask every one of them to walk me down the isle to give me away since they were always there for me when I was growing up. I put those poor guys through alot! I chose my oldest brother to dance with since he was the one who always guided me (or tried anyway) through my teenage years. The song we danced to was Wild World from Cat Stevens. It has alot of meaning and I still cry to this day when I hear it. Hope this helps. Congratulations on your wedding and good luck!

My father died when I was twelve and my younger brother is going to give me away and thats who I'm going to dance with. We're going to dance to Wind Beneath My Wings by Bette Midler. The lyrics to that song are perfect for us and our relationship. You could also try I am Your Angel by Celine Dion and R. Kelly. I know you will pick the perfect song for your relationship. Good luck.

Faith Hill

When I think back on these times,
And the dreams we left behind,
I'll be glad cause I was blessed to get,
To have you in my life,

When I look back on these days,
I look and see your face,
You were right there for me.

Bridge:

In my dreams I've always seen you soar above the sky,
In my heart there'll always be a place for you,
For all my life,

Chorus:

I'll keep a part of you with me,
And everywhere I am there you'll be,
and everywhere I am there you'll be,

Well you showed me how it feels,
To feel the sky within my reach,
And I always will remember all,
The strength you gave to me,
Your love made me make it through,
Ohh I owe so much to you,
You were right there for me.

Bridge:

In my dreams I've always seen you soar above the sky,
In my heart there'll always be a place for you,
For all my life,

Chorus:

I'll keep a part of you with me,
And everywhere I am there you'll be,

Cause I always saw you in my life, my strength,
And I wanna thank you now for all the ways,
You were right there for me, you were right there for me
Always!!

Bridge:

In my dreams I've always seen you soar above the sky,
In my heart there'll always be a place for you,
For all my life,

Chorus:

I'll keep a part of you with me,
And everywhere I am there you'll be,
And everywhere I am there you'll be,
There You'll Be

Congratulations and I wish you a very happy marriage..

I know it sounds corny, but the theme from the movie Titanic is always a great song to play at a wedding. Go for it!

He Aint Heavy, He's My Brother lyrics
From Album: Clearly Love
Olivia Newton John

The road is long with many a winding turn
That leads us to who knows where, who knows when
But I'm strong--strong enough to carry him
He ain't heavy, he's my brother

So on we go--his welfare is my concern
No burden is he to bear--we'll get there
For I know he would not encumber me
He ain't heavy, he's my brother

If I'm laden at all--I'm laden with sadness
That everyone's heart isn't filled with the gladness of love for one another
It's a long, long road from which there is no return
While we're on our way to there
Why not share?

And the load--it doesn't weigh me down at all
He ain't heavy, he's my brother
He ain't heavy, he's my brother
He ain't heavy. He's my brother

"Wind beneath my wings."
"When Love takes you in" Steven Curtis Chapman
Maybe a classic instrumental, especially if your brother will take a few dance lessons.
"i hope you dance" (this maybe our best pick)
