Ok...we just got word that my future hubby to be is being deployed for iraq...they are leaving before our set wedding date so we are looking for some where spontaneous and romantic to get married...we do not want vegas it is over rated...any ideas?? and Also i need a song to dedicate to him i want it to deal with a soldier...any suggestions...

My husband, who we got married last month, did the same thing.
He leaves tuesday, April 3, for his second deployment to Iraq.
He has never been to Vegas and my mom decided to take him, myself, my brother and his gf to Vegas for a "going away/his birthday party" planned for many months prior. So, at the last moment, a joke turned very serious with in a month's time and we got married there as we were their already.
Now, you don't want Vegas and that is understandable as I had the same feeling. But, we are still doing Hawaii (Maui) on our original date Feb 23, 08, but now as our "renewl" as he gets home mid october.
Depending where you live, have you called up any resorts in your area, whether golfing with beautiful ponds (we have one by our house with a bridge, can't even tell it is a golfing course. A friend got married and with a horse carriage on the bridge with white horses for pictures)
What about justice of the peace if very very simple as can have the "planned wedding" when he gets back?
A cruize?
Any special spot you both love together, first met or anything special like that?
His and I song is "far away" by nickleback as that is what he heard in iraq that reminded him to the Z of him and I.
Also, Traveling Solider by the Dixy Chicks (Country).

If you have a nice park, neat building or attraction in town, or place that means a lot to you then chose that place. It will set a good tone and be a memory to last. A lot of times a bed and breakfast will also allow you to have your ceremony there and then you can stay the night as well.... Not too sure on a song to dedicate to him that deals with being a soldier, but if you can't find one that you like, just chose one that shows the feelings you have toward him. My fiance is getting ready to deploy as well, and we chose a historical park with a old church. Very pretty! Good luck and I wish the both of you the best of luck!

we went to the courthouse when my husband got back from afghanistan,but that's not too romantic but it's cheap...as far as a song I've always liked "please come home soon" by shedaisy
