The colours of my wedding are apple green, light pink and chocolate brown. My bouquet will have a combination of apple green and light pink gerber daisies with some other floral added but I was thinking a single light pink daisy for each of the bridesmaids against their Chocolate brown dresses. It's an outdoor wedding if that helps you visualize.

We need need to choose a "Money Dance" or "Dollar Dance" song for our wedding. Which of these do you like? Do you have any other suggestions? I would like a fun song but my fiance would like a slow song. We will have a mixture of older conservative folks and some redneck types at the reception. I would some us up as a good, clean fun-loving crowd.

"Friends in Low Places" Garth Brooks
"You've Got a Friend" James Taylor
"With a Little Help From My Friends" The Beatles
"Amen Kind of Love" Daryle Singletary
"Take the Money and Run" Steve Miller Band
"Money" Pink Floyd
"Kiss Me" Six Pence None the Richer
"Have You Really Ever Loved a Woman" Bryan Adams
"I Just Want to Dance With You" George Strait
"Margaritaville" Jimmy Buffet
"Baby I Love Your Way" Peter Frampton
"Two Tickets to Paradise" Eddie Money
"Forever and Ever Amen" Randy Travis
"Love Will Keep Us Alive" The Eagles

I want to do something for a congrats. It can be to either just the "bride to be" or to the couple. I thought about a really cute wedding planning book or something, but one of them is having a Hawaiian wedding instead of a traditional wedding. What do you think?

My fiance and I are both grad students and would rather put $$$ towards a house than a huge wedding. We are thinking of having a small ceremony with only close friends and family. I'm thinking about 75 people, but no more than 100. We have been through so much and we don't even want people to know when we are having the wedding. We thought about going straight to our honeymoon location and just getting married there, but we don't want to leave the important people out of that important day.
So, we are thinking of just having a surprise wedding ceremony, but we don't know how to get people there w/o telling them its a wedding. We have to to tell his parents b/c his dad is going to marry us, and my brother is going to give us away, but thats the limit. We are not having any attendants. Any suggestions?

Ok, so now that lots of people I know are getting married I've noticed something. If a girl doesn't like her engagement ring she's told that she's "shallow" and should just be happy with the "thought." This ISN'T only for girls with small rings, either. Some got huge, gaudy Elizabeth Taylor-style sets from their guys who obviously didn't take the time to see what the chick's tastes were. I think that if I'm going to be wearing this thing on my hand for (hopefully) the rest of my life I should have at least some say in what it looks like. My boyfriend was taken aback by the idea that I would want to go with him to pick it out and he seemed sort of offended. Why? My parents did that and have been together almost 40years! And why do guys ***** about paying 2 mos salary for something you're going to wear forever when they pay more than that for things like speakers and crap! I even offered to get him a kind of "engagement memento" to make it equal. Why are we made out to be the bad guys?

I want something legal that says that I am a owner too before I get married. His whole family lives in that house and we plan to get another house which I am going to take out under my name, and I told him that we should be equal. He put my name under his house and let his family rent it, and I put his name under the house I am getting under my credit. I only think its fair. Don't you? Or is everything after we are married community property? Or am I being too paranoid about it? Another reason I ask is because his sister has already started telling me things as far as what rights do I have there etc. etc. and i don't want that to happen after we are married??????? Too complicated huh????

Which is the best wedding ring??

I am looking for an affordable engagement ring. We're saving up to buy a house, so I want to stay within the budget. I found rings that I am in love with, but I don't know how to chose a ring. I want something that will last for a few years until I can upgrade. :]
I found one that is14kt white gold...1/2 carat diamond. The link is below.
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.d...
http://www.zales.com/search/index.jsp?categoryId=2115463&cp=2071133&fr=StorePrice%2FZALES%2F00040100%2F00070099&fbc=1&fbn=StorePrice%7C%24401.00+-+%24700.99

Is that good? What should I look for to get the best ring for my buck. :]
Also, does anyone know of another site/store to shop for a ring?? I'm in Northern Cali. Thanks :]
The only problem with actually going straight to a dealer is that you we would have to have immediate CASH. I don't want to have to make monthly payments on something as frivilous as a ring, but we don't have a huge lump of cash at the moment. :[

When playing background music during the dinner part of reception, should the songs play like a store-bought CD or have a longer pause between each song?

Which way do you think would be better?

My typical wedding gift is $100., but I will be attending one soon with my fiance. This is the first time we've gone to a wedding together, and I'm not sure about gifting. Should we now give $200. because there are 2 of us, or is less alright, as we are kind of considered one couple? I really don't know and just want to do the right thing.

Thanks for any replies!

Who is in charge of the rehersal? I always thought our Pastor was going to be the leader of it but he told me today that he doesn't think he really needs to be there. I quickly got off the phone with him because my mixture of surprise, confusion, and PMS was causing me to burst into tears/laughter...it wasn't pretty. He probably could have told me this months ago instead of today (literally 11 days before the rehersal). This is my first marriage so I would appreciate it if he was there telling me how he does things. Am I wrong? Whenever I've been to a rehersal before the guy/gal doing the marrying always ran the show...maybe the bride/groom requested that?! I'm not sure! Please help!
PS-The MOB dress thing worked out just fine...I ordered another dress, it arrived, I told my mom a mild form of the truth, she tried it on and loved it! Yay!

I hope ya'll can help my best friend is getting married. the problem though is that her aunt is getting married for the second time possibly her 3rd marriage, any way both my friend and her aunt chose the day of the anniversary of her aunts parents, my friends grandparents, may they rest in peace. HOwever her aunt seems to bet trying to get her to switch the date or make a luncheon instead of a dinner party at a golf resort. The aunt is putting her down and telling her it would be best and more economic since my friend and her fiance have a baby and are students and working, and they do find it a bit challenging to come up with perhaps $10-12 thousand. Who should step down from the wedding date, the rude aunt even mentioned my friend moving her wedding a day after may i add my friend is 19 her first wedding and the aunt is in her 50's with four kids she has the right to get married again but seems very selfish. she even commented she shouldn't have the wedding since my friend doesnt

I am getting married in a little over a month and tonight I was looking in bridal magazines for hairstyles. I started thinking about when everyone will first see me walking down the aisle and I instantly could not breathe. I am a person that does not like too much attention, so I am not sure on how to handle it. I am afraid when the day comes, I will not be able to walk down the aisle. Help.

I'm 5'8", and am shaped like an upside down triangle--broad, but not overly broad shoulders, full chest(DDD), straight-wasted, narrow hips, long arms and legs. Of all the websites and magazines I've looked at, no one will tell you what looks good on someone with a full chest only what types of dresses to avoid(which seems like most of them!). What type would look the best for my figure?

I am having a formal wedding, the ceremony is starting at 4pm (this is the latest time I could arrage it for because the church does not allow weddings after that time). I have my heart set on this church and do not want to change locations. Traditionally, no one wears a tuxedo before 5 pm, but after the ceremony (which is a catholic one so it will be a lil bit more lengthy) we are having a cocktail hour and a reception which will last until about 11pm. Is putting "Black Tie Affair" enough to get the point across that it is very formal? I am using very formal invitations, do I need the save the dates to be just as formal?

It's not white-tie kind of formal, but all of my 6 bridesmaids are wearing floor length black gowns and we are having a 10 piece band for music at the reception.

Any suggestions to make sure no one shows up in a polo shirt, or is 4pm just too ridiclious to request this sort of thing?
