My boyfriend is 2 years younger than me,his parents are not accepting this.My parents will never accept the relationship, they don't know the age difference, but for many other reasons. They have high expectation about my marriage,so I have stopped convincing them.Whatever we have to do, that has to be done against my family members.I'm mentally prepared for
it.Earlier,he was also very determined and desperate to go against his parents, but now he wants their approval & blessings. His mother always applies emotions on him to convince him.Still he is trying his best. Both of us are doing jobs & financially independent & happy with our jobs. But, now he fears that, if he marries me withour his parent's approval, then he'd lose them forever, which he doesn't want to.But, I love him deeply & we have a bit of physical relationship which has made me more emotional & I have started considering him as my husband. At any cost, I don't wanna lose him.Now he needs some time. Can he marry me ever?

I want to give wedding goers an experience. One of those, "remember that one wedding" ordeals. We are thinking about doing it up in the mountains and renting out a bunch or cabins and doing the ceremony on the grounds.

What is a creative reception? Anything from decor, favors, theme ect.

My colleague has offered me her wedding tiara for my wedding this year. Its a sweet offer and a nice enough tiara, but some stones are missing which I would have to replace, and I just did not see myself wearing a tiara. I tried it on and it looks ok, but I just don't want to use it. How can I say no thank you without offending her? She is a really sweet friend, and I feel bad rejecting her offer.

I know buying brand is expensive. But because engagement ring is one special ring to a special girl, I would like to buy something that is really nice.
I know tiffany and cartier are popular brands but are there any other brands which are popular? (well known?)
I'm based in Australia so please tell me brand/s which i can get in Australia. And how much i would need. Thank you!!

gift list is held, without seeming rude? Is it bad ettiquette to put it in the invitations? We don't want to seem money grabbing!

my cousin is getting married in july.
there is her, her sister, 2 other female cousins and myself on this side of the family. the cousin getting married and i arent, and never have been close so i wasnt expecting to be asked to stand up in the wedding.
however, not too long ago i found out that i am the only female cousin who wasnt asked to be in it.
this hurts because if my grandma was still alive, i know she wouldnt be pleased at the fact that i was the only one not asked.
my parents arent too happy with it either. i try to act like it doesnt bug me, but it does. basically just because i feel like i wil be embarassed at the wedding, sitting there while the rest are standing in it. i almost feel like i dont even want to go. truth is ive been left out plenty of other times before and im almost getting used to it, but this was rude.
anyone have any ideas on how i can feel better about it when i go to the wedding? i dont want to be miserable all day.

A young couple I know is getting married soon. They already live together and have most of the household items such as dished, glasses, kitchen gadets, etc. What are some sort of fun luxery items that a poorer couple might not think to buy themselves becuase of money constraints? Just about every item on their registry has already been purchased. They don't need or want cooking items, cleaning items, or other traditional wedding gifts.

I'm going to be a bridesmaid in my friends wedding in july 07. (she'll be 20 & I'll be 19) I know I have to get her a wedding present, but since I'm a bridesmaid, we grew up together, & our families are friends, do i get her something really special?? I should anyways just cuz I'm a bridesmaid right?? How much should I spend & what should I get?? I have NO idea what to do.

PS: My twin sister is also a bridesmaid in the wedding, so we're pooling our money together to get her something.

I am having a wedding in September of this year. I am going for the autumn theme and decided to have my bridesmaid dresses Champagne. I, apparently, went over this with my maid of honor (first cousin) and she seems not to agree with the color. She doesn't approve because it won't match her skin-tone. So I changed it to a Chocolate/Bronze color just for her, meanwhile the bridesmaid don't mind what color or dress I pick. Finally, I told her I am choosing an off the shoulder dress. And there she goes again, whining how her shoulders are way too broad. I am aware this is MY wedding, but I am trying to avoid conflict here. I can't let her have it her way. What can I do or say, in a polite manner, that she doesn't have a say in what I choose, or she won't be maid of honor.. but once again, in a polite way! Please help.

Do you think it is rude or wrong to invite my family and friends that attended my last wedding? My mom thinks I should be embarrassed to invite them. She also thinks that if they give me a gift that I should be embarrased. Do divorced people have a stigma attached to them? Why should I feel bad or embarrassed that I am getting married again?

My mom and dad will be there and his mom, aunt, and friend will be there. I am excited, but my brother says that people don't like destination weddings. I disagree. Is this selfish on our part? We are having a reception when we get back from Jamaica for our family and friends in our hometown.

If your friend or family member was getting married in a destination wedding, would you be upset if you couldn't stay in the same hotel as them? Would this make you not want to go? To me, it isn't a huge issue.

We are upset because the resort charges $40/person for people to attend a wedding ceremony onsite if they are not staying at the resort. I told him that we will pay for the 4 people coming to go to the wedding. My fiance thinks that this is the reason why his dad and sister is not coming to the wedding. I don't think it is at all. I think they had there own reasons.

We are having a reception for people when we get home. It is not like we ignored our family and friends?
