I have recently become engaged. My fiance and I decided on having four couples stand up....4 of his best friends and 4 of mine. This would mean my brother is left out. My brother and I aren't super close but we talk usually once a week and he is family. Do I create another spot as a groomsman or do you think it's ok that he does not stand up? I think I already know what I need to do, I just want some other input.

I would like suggestions on a fall bridal bouquet. I love roses, but I will have silk flowers at my wedding. does anyone know of a place online that has darker colored roses in fall colors that can or is made into a bouquet? I found a nice, mostly orange, bouquet online, but it is made up of mostly large daisys. I'm no too crazy about daisys, I would like to have a fall colored rose bouquet that is silk, but doesnt look really fake.

My fiance and I would like to have a Quaker wedding. Neither of our families are Quaker but there are several on the guest list. I want good quality silence and was thinking about typing up an explenation of the ceremony for the non-quakers and including it with the invitation. Has anyone been to a Quaker wedding without a lot of Quakers? How was the silence?
Also, we would like our parents to sign first at the close of the ceremony. Is that rude for any reason?
Thanks!

Keith I am so happy today
Today is the day that I get to show the whole world
How much you mean to me
How special you really are

You taught me how to love
And showed me how to be strong
I am so excited about our future together

I will to be beside you
Through the good times and the hard times
Whatever arises we will handle it together

I promise to be faithful in mind and body
I devote myself to you alone
For the rest of my life

You are my best friend,
I will always love you
And I will be the best mother I can to our babies

Keith when you put this ring on today
You will be wearing my love
For all the world to see
This is a small piece of me that
Symbolizes our marrage and friendship
Everytime you look at it
Remember I love you

We are getting married on 4 August this year. It feels if he sits back and wait for everything to happen for him. My family pays for almost everything. His family doesn't have money. It bothers me because now he's got the habbit of not saving a cent... I got everything for the house, furniture, washing machine ext, so I asked him if he could buy our bed, and he says NO!!!! He doesn't want to pay for the weddingrings (which is according to the "wedding rules"), nothing. He is not even paying for the honeymoon. I am just scared that if I marry him, he will be as laydback as now! What is your opion on this, do you think he is ready?

My fiance and I are paying for our own wedding and the guest list is at 150 people (really can't make it any smaller) and we can't afford a huge bar tab. I was wondering if it would be tacky or rude to pay for beer and wine but not hard liquor for the reception. I was going to put something on the invitations to the effect of...Beer and wine provided, cocktails available. Any ideas?

Examples: negligee, flirting, I need you, etc. I am not asking about how she shows she wants someone as much as I am how she shows she wants to be wanted.

I am having my ceremony and reception at the same place. It starts at 5 pm in march, so it will be dark. I don't know if we should have photos done before at say 3 pm, because I hate to ruin the moment of me walking down the aisle towards my fiancee. But there isn't really anywhere inside the hall to take them once the ceremony is over. Anyone ever take them before and did you regret it? any suggestions would be great.

I am planning a wedding shower with to other ladies and need some advice we don't want to make this expensive. We want something nice to eat at the shower, but nothing like hot-dogs or hamburgers. Something simple but sweet and not to expensive. What are some nice things to eat that makes it look like a wedding shower and not BBQ.

I have a yellow gold engagement ring, so I want to get a yellow gold wedding ring to match. My fiance very much prefers white gold. If I have yellow gold, and he has white gold, I kind of feel like it would look like we're married to other people and having an affair together to people that don't know us. What do you think? I know styles don't have to match, but shouldn't the color of the band?
