You could use those meduim/larger size cardboard stock cupids (usually used for decorations) and put all of your info on them...either with:
*a customized rubber stamper and stamp directly onto the cupid
OR
*print it out on pretty paper-cut the paper into a heart shape and affix to the cupid. You could use peking shears to cut your paper for some added affect
OR
*get transparent film used for overhead projectors (you can find at staples or any business supply store) made for inkjet printers. Get some of the Photo Holder Corner Tabs that you use for scrapbooking to hold in place.
OR
*use a caligraphy pen and write your info on heart shaped paper doiles to affix to the cupid. May take a while, but you have a whole year that you could start on a few at a time. Guests will appeciate the hand written invite and the time it took to do it...Plus it will seem like an actual "Valentine" card!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You could also find some cheap Valentines/Heart themed photo frames or "boxes" to insert your invite info into, printed on pretty parchment paper. Now would be a GREAT time to look for those sorts of things w/the holiday being over....CLEARANCE!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Use some good card stock printer paper....print out your invites as a top-fold style card. Fold them in 1/2 as a card, Trim what is the "bottom edge" of the front w/pretty shaped peking shears. Use a red or burgandy ribbon and cut a length that will fit across the bottom of the inside of the card (below your print). Use either two-faced tape or a "mod-podge" to affix the ribbon to the bottom-inside of your card.
When you close your card, you should be able to see the decorative trim you cut into the front w/the color ribbon behind it.
Go to your local "Michaels" or other craft store and look for little charms that may have a saying (I found little silver hearts that say "Love" on them for mine....too cute!)
Using the same ribbon that you used to trim the inside of your card, make little loose bows, tying a charm onto each one and hot glue your bow w/charm onto the front of your card ---either at the top, the center, the bottom...wherever you prefer....
I did these for a girlfriend of mine as her wedding gift and she adored them...they were really cute and looked expensive!

I have other ideas, but I feel like I've written a book here!!! LOL
Feel free to email me if you'd like!

yes! i want to do this also but i am not very crafty i will like to see the responses on this one!

i brought some nice paper with frangipani flowers on to print some details on but they are A4 size and i think its going to look to big for what i want to do i was hoping on trying to make some smallish card sizes and putting magnets on the back so they could be held on the fridge with the words keep this date free on the front with the wedding date but like i said before im not crafty and dont know where to start also !

I made the invitations for my wedding and also designed invitations for someone else. Look through magagzines and books and try to copy anything that you like. I have images of my invitations and the ones for another wedding. You can e-mail me at orangeflameninja@yahoo.com if you would like to see them. I can also give you instructions on how to make either kind for under $1 per invitation.

Well u can buy really nice blank wedding invitations and print them yourself and i would use any of these two sites...

invitationpaper.com or www.lcipaper.com

I got mine from invitationpaper.com and they are beautiful and ici is pretty good too because i ordered samples from them.

but if you want to start form scratch i would use this site...

www.formal-invitations.com

they have everything and good quality too. They also have a section that explains "how to do it yourself". My cousin used this website for her invitations and not only are they unique but it was so fun and easy doing them. Im not sure if you have certain colors in mind but you can also mix and match them. Good luck!

It may be too cheesy, but I think it would be cute to make invitations like Valentines, Use paper doilies and lace, cut out hearts etc etc.

On the other hand, maybe that's too much like second grade!

Good luck!

There are lots of great websites with wedding invitation templates on them for free. Unfortunately, I can't remember the names of them right now. Google wedding invitation templates and see what you come up with.
