Yes. We had an open bar, and the DJ played requests all night. There were always people on the dance floor because people were dancing to the songs they requested. They also played a lot of the usual songs, like the Chicken Dance, Electric Slide, Cha Cha Slide. I know a lot of people hate these songs, but they DO get people dancing.

I had Scottish country dancing at my first wedding and everybody danced. After the evening break and food being served we had a DJ who played a mix of 60's, 70's and more modern songs, most people danced to those as well. When I married the second time we had such a small wedding that we just met friends in the pub and I danced there but I was quite drunk at the time lol. I am actually planning a 3rd wedding, and this time around it will again be a small event, so we are having the reception at my sister in law's house and we are just playing music from the PC, so it could be a random mix of songs, I'm not handling the music!!

After the first dance and father/mother dances, we did a snowball dance. The entire wedding party begins dancing and after a minute or so the DJ cuts the music and everyone goes to find a new dance partner. This continues for a while until everyone is on the floor! It's totally crazy and lots of fun! Plus you get to see some original dance partners (i.e. my uncle and my maid of honor)

Yes we had Country, Rap, 80's music & everything else playing. The chicken dance, bunny, hop, electric slide & wedding march were also some really big hits! We had tons of fun & almost every one joined in!
