I found a website where you can post any and all wedding questions about etiquette and planning. I'm sure this will come in handy again between now and your wedding. Congratulations and Blessings!!

A lot of people are starting to use a video of childhood pictures before the wedding starts, i see no reason you could not have a welcome poem. Weddings are becoming less traditional in a sense and more of what you want. I say go for it I love weddings that are unique! Nice idea!

Usually the pastor welcomes everyone....but if you would rather have it be your cousine, then do what you just wrote. Once everyone is seated, have your cousin be the first to go up and welcome everyone and then read a poem. Then the wedding begins. Do what you want - you don't have to follow any guidelines - its your wedding.

I would hire a local high school or college choir and have them signing in the church entryway to welcome your guests in. This would really set the tone for your wedding. You could have them sing a formal hymn or, if it is going to be more of an informal affair, they could even sing "going to the chappel and we're gonna get married". Just have a great time. Congratulations!

You need to talk to the pastor about this first. They're supposed to do the welcoming address and read that scripture. You might not be allowed to customize it in this way.

Do you know any creative people. Ask them to write something for you and have it printed in the program so everyone knows where the credit goes. Congratulations on your wedding. May your marriage be blessed.
