My friends getting married and she asked me to be Maid of Honor, so I know my duties helping her out etc. But dont I get some distinction from the rest of the bridesmaids in the wedding?
As in wardrobe? All the weddings I've been to have had something or everything different for the maid of honor
I'm confused, maybe she no longer wants me as maid of honor, please help

My boyfriend and I have been talking about Marriage and kids a lot lately, and our Valentines day has been pushed back a few weeks. He has left to do training with the Canadian Reserves. and the more we talk about everything, the more I want it. But I feel as though my hopes are soaring so high that if he comes back and doesn't purpose I am going to be a wreck... I am scared of what will Happen, If I am this concerned about it all, maybe it shouldn't happen, or maybe i am just over thinking all of this. We have been together for 1 year and 8 months. we've been living together for the past 6 months. and I love him so much, I can not imagine my life without him, and he has told me the same. What am I to do?

I will be 18 & and fiance will be 19 when we marry this summer. Alot of people are critisizing us about this. I know he will be the one I marry no matter what so I don't see whats so wrong with it. My parents are okay with and but his not really so much. They all say we are too young. We have been through alot together and it feels like this should be the next step. I want to get married young, and I dont want to wait. I just don't know how to deal with all these people on our back. Some help would be really great!!!

I have to do a timeline for my location. The wedding & reception are in the same place.

The sample timelines I've been given have the bride & groom cutting the cake very early in the reception, 2nd thing that's done at the reception right after the bleesing. Dinner is served, then the cake is passed out after dinner.

I really hate the idea of cutting my cake first thing. I'm spending a decent amout of money for this pretty cake with a floral arrangment on it & it seems like a waste to cut it as soon as we enter the reception.

Would it be weird to eat dinner, then do the cake? Then as the cake is being cut we can have our first dance? Most weddings I've been to have not had dancing, but wait until after the meal to cut the cake. I know it can be done, I was just wondering if it would mess up the flow too much with us eating dinner, cutting cake, dancing, then cake actually being served.

There are some people that I have known for years, but am not close to now, i.e. old work collegues. I want them to see the wedding-which will be on the internet-but will not be inviting them to the service. Is this rude?

I have a small wedding party consisting of a best man, a maid of honor and a ring bearer. I was thinking about doing the following for the processional and wanted opinions and/or suggestions.

Officiant waits at altar
Groom and his mother
Best Man and my step mom (mom is deceased)
Maid of Honor
Ring Bearer
Me and my Dad

What do you think of this? Or if you have any other ideas. Thank you!

I just got engaged on Valentine's Day, and we are having a long engagement...the wedding is set for May 30, 2009. I know it is not THAT long away but I feel like it is too early to start planning, as I am so anxious and excited! Any tips or anything I can do now to prepare and keep me occupied? Thanks!

I'm getting married in July through a place called weddings by the sea. They are inexpensive and very flexible. We plan to get married on the beach (my fiance's dream!) but we know that July is a rainy month. The man in charge, Charles, recommended a beach that has a resturant behind it called Sea Watch. It is a beautiful beach that we can get married on, and if it rains the resturant behind the beach, Sea Watch, will allow us to move everything inside and have the ceremony there. The only condition to that is that we must eat there. My fiance and I have no problem with that, especially since we need a place to have a reception. We just want to hear the opinions of people who have possibly been to Sea Watch or gotten married there. Is it a good resturant? How does the banquet facility look? Is the food good? Do they only serve sea food or do they have a variety of food? Please give me as much information about the resturant as possible.

My going to be husband has 4 brothers and I have 2, so we wanted to include all 6, but I only have 4 girls... Would this be awkward?
I have a ring bearer and flower girl. Should I ask 2 more little girls I am close to for flower girls to balance it out or just leave it uneven?
Any suggestions?? :o)

Can anyone who is Catholic and has just had a ceremony let me know, is it a big deal? I just don't know what to tell the priest, and don't know if it is going to look bad.

Thanks!
