My boyfriend and I have been talking about Marriage and kids a lot lately, and our Valentines day has been pushed back a few weeks. He has left to do training with the Canadian Reserves. and the more we talk about everything, the more I want it. But I feel as though my hopes are soaring so high that if he comes back and doesn't purpose I am going to be a wreck... I am scared of what will Happen, If I am this concerned about it all, maybe it shouldn't happen, or maybe i am just over thinking all of this. We have been together for 1 year and 8 months. we've been living together for the past 6 months. and I love him so much, I can not imagine my life without him, and he has told me the same. What am I to do?

just take a deep breath, and try not to think about it, don't get your hopes up, because if hes not ready to propose yet, you don't want to be so dissapointed it ruins your time together, When he is ready to do it he will, just calm down and let it happen naturally so it is more of a surprise

My friend proposed to her then boyfriend. She got a card that said something about spending the rest of their lives together, told him she wanted to be with him forever, and asked him to marry her. He said yes, they had a beautiful wedding on a beach, and are happy as can be!!

If you don't want to be the one to ask, then just try to be patient and enjoy your relationship for what it is. You are overthinking it, and diminishing the joy you experience just from having him in your life. Try not to stress out, and just be the person he knows and loves. Everything happens for a reason.

First off, take a DEEP breath! :)

If you are nearly panicking at the thought he might be proposing and you might be getting your hopes up too high... you are. I've been there.

You need to take a step back, compose yourself if you can, and just let him take the next step. Try, if you can, to contain yourself until he gets back and either makes his move (with a sparkly bauble!), or he gets back and runs to your open arms empty handed.

Either way, it sounds like you know he absolutely loves you heart and soul, and you, him. Life should be more about the love, and less about the ring. ;)

Good luck!

How do you feel about having a unique memory?

Why don't you propose to him? Why does it always have to be the guy doing the proposing? My hubby and I beforehand always talked about getting married (a sign we were ready), but didn't make it official till he asked me.
Go for the gusto. YOU ask him!!! You can have fun with this! Good luck and if you decide to do it, let me know, please!!! I wish you the best and I'm rootin' for ya!! :o)

stop trying to guess if he'll propose or not and relax!!!
if you've already talked about marriage, what's the rush!?
if he proposes next week or next month, it sounds like you two will be happy together.

Yes...Just relax...I know that sounds easy ...huh? But honestly, worrying about it, isn't going to make it happen any faster and is just causing you discomfort...so yes, relax and take a deep breath!

Tell him how you feel. Or propose to him yourself.
