I recently got engaged and I too was looking for a very particular style of ring. My advice would be to look for a good LOCAL jeweler. Skip those guys that are usually located in a mall (Kay's, Zales, etc.) Usually the local jewelers are just that - Jewelers... not to be confused with "Sales Representives" that you find at the malls.
Most Jewelers can custom make ANYTHING you want. More often than not you'll receive more personal attention too. That way you get exactly what you want with no exceptions.
...and as a side tip... never buy diamonds off eBay... the cut, clarity and color are incorrect a large majority of the time.

You two should talk to some local jewelers (and not just 2 or 3), to find the best price. The major cost will be the rock, but if you are okay with a lesser quality diamond, then the price will come down significantly. Also white gold is less expensive than platinum, but requires more maintenance.

looking at the pictures of the ring, I'm not so sure that the color/clarity of the those stones are SI1/F-G, its hard to really tell for sure, they are not the best pictures in the world. I can tell you that a price of $2500.00 is not going to be unreasonable for 1.20ct TW. All that set is, is a solitaire ring with the 2 stone wrap ring. Most jewelers have those type of styles in stock, just stay away from "mall" jewelry stores, and go to a jeweler.

I got my wedding ring from Hannoush Jewelers and I designed it myself, they can make anything you want. Just take a picture of the ring with you and I'm sure you'll be very happy with them. They also have a layaway plan so if you can't pay the whole thing at once you can make payments without interest charges.

I just wanted to give you something to think about before you decide on a ring set like this, there will be times when you dont want to wear your engagement ring and if you take it off you will be stuck ither wearing a wedding ring that is not so attractive without the engagement ring piece or not wearing your wedding band at all. Just keep that in mind, I know I would never want to be without my wedding ring, I feel naked without it, and so I wouldnt want to buy a set like this because I wouldnt be able to take the engament ring off and leave my wedding band on without it looking, well, ugly.

print up the picture and take it to someone, try nd find a wholesale place, usually a family owned place gives better deals then big box retail named stores..i recently got a new engagement ring and hubby paid 2000 for it and when the appraisal came it is appraised at almost 5000...since it was a family wholesale place they are able to keep the costs down

Try www.bluenile.com . That website allows you to design your own ring, therefore allowing you to keep the price at a range you are comfortable with.
Also, try looking at these that I found. They aren't exactly the same but close. :)

that is very unique, i like the way it fits together like that. search the phonebook for jewelry stores near where you live, go check out each and every one. bring a picture so they know what you are after. there are also websites you can search online, like debeers, and kay. i hope you find what you are looking for.

Well, have your bf look around a bit, let him find something within his budget, and be very happy with what he chooses for you.
