We're getting married in 3 months, do we have time to get married in church? I've heard a church ceremony requires 6 month of classes. Does that still apply if only one of us is religious?

We've been together about 10 yrs. (I'm 27,he's 36). Our families never really supported the relationship.......We have decided to get married and WE are paying for ALL of it. We don't think we should have to include our parents names on the invitations and such because WE are paying. Is that wrong????

My stepson is getting married this year and we can no way compete with the money his fiance's parents have. They are giving the newlyweds a kitchen make-over complete with appliances. What can we give that won't seem cheap in comparison?

I'd like to give a unique gift that sort of represents something, like love or friendship. Just not a gift that they registered for. That's no fun. Please help!

Because of problems between his family and me, my bf is considering getting married without a wedding. His family won't approve of us because I'm not a Catholic and that I won't convert. We've been planning for our wedding for months and now he said that the wedding is off because his parents won't be there. He's been trying to convince his parents but wasn't able to. He said he'd be in an awkward position if his parents aren't there for him. I don't know what to do now, because I've always dreamt of a perfect wedding. It really means a lot to me.

we have a large group of good friends coming to the wedding. our wedding site is small, and only holds 125 people. To ensure that we were able to invite all that are important to us, those single friends of ours in this group, we didn't expect them to bring guests, since we knew they would be among a lot of friends and wouldn't feel alone or left out. Some of them have assumed that their invitation was for them and a guest. How do we tactfully address that the invites were for them and them alone without offending them?

Serious answers please..... I am getting married in Dec. I really want a beautiful wedding, however I will not be able to spend a whole lot of money. If there is anyone with any suggestions, or know of anyone could be of assistance.

I am trying to work on a limited budget. I don't want anything fancy, just nice. We are only going to have 50-75 people, if that. The reception hall is very small, so we don't need a lot of equipment. Also I just wanted pics of the wedding and the traditional after the cermony pics. thanx.
