I'm kind of wondering about this. Boxers may bunch up, and that can become noticeable. What is everyones thoughts on this?

I would say briefs. I don't know how the weather is where you are but the tuxedo itself is a lot to wear, u will be more comfortable w/ briefs. HTH

The obvious answer is to wear a boxer brief, which, as long as the pant is not too tight, will not be noticable under your clothes. (I too have had problems with boxers under dress pants sometimes that I have never had under jeans or more casual wear--and I have to wear dressy and formal wear at least once a week sometimes.)

It has everything to do with the cut and fit of the tuxedo pants that one is wearing, as well as the fact that most rentable tuxes are made of more "durable" fabrics and/or fabric blends that will make you sweatier and stickier as the night goes on.

If he/you are the groom, you will probably have a say in the style of tuxedo you are wearing, so wear boxers (if that is your preference) to the selection and fitting of your tuxedo. If you are a groomsman or guest and the tuxedo has been chosen for you, you still should not have to wear ill-fitting pants. If you are in the area earlier than the day before, go to the tuxedo rental shop and try on your pants. If you need a slightly larger size for more room, let them know and they'll switch the pants out for you. You should never feel (or look) like a sausage in pants you are paying to rent. You are paying them to rent pants that fit to you.

My long experience with dress and formal wear has led to me making the choice to wear briefs under any and all dressy outfits where I will be seen and or featured in public or in front of a large crowd, for the reasons discussed here and a handful of others that my experience has taught me to consider (any guy might be able to imagine what I am talking about). However, there is no reason you shouldn't wear what is most comforable for you; with a little planning you'll be fine.

Boxer Briefs. They will feel more comfortable and not bunch up. Not that I have worn them since I am a female, but, my husband and teenage sons' wear them and say they feel better and give you support.

My DH chose briefs to go under his tux he said they wouldn't be as bulky under it. And no pantie lines lol always a bonus.

My husband wore briefs (the kind with the legs on them). He said that he was very comfortable and they provided lots of support.

Wear what makes you the most comfortable. You don't want to be uncomfortable all night long.
