I am going to a wedding for the first time. I am the best man. Should I take a date. I know some of the bridemaids are going alone but not the maid of honor. I do not have a gf or someone I like. What should i expect to do as the best man?

Bachelor parties?? My fiancee' is going to ask his brother to be his best man in the wedding, and I know it is the duty of the best man to plan out the bachelor party which for him means he is going to want to take him to a strip club. I am a little uneasy with this because when my friends husband went to one for his bachelor party he came back with scratches and red marks and lipstick and what not all over him and she was beyond mad at him for this. I trust my fiancee' very much but don't feel comfortable with him going to a strip club, he says it is up to me that if I don't want him to go then he won't. LADIES HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THIS TOPIC. HOW WOULD YOU FEEL ABOUT THIS??

Should I be mad that my maid of honor is getting married 4 months after me and wants me to be her maid of honor? Also, she is getting married to my fiance' brother, so that would make her my soon to be sister-in-law. I feel like I am going to be so overwhelmed with my own wedding that I can not play a big part (maid of honor) in hers.

so me and my husband got married in court, and we are saving up for a big wedding under God and with all our family and friends we want to save at least 25,000.
My sister had an idea that we ask our guests for money instead of wedding gifts to help with the costs.

I think thats REALLY tacky/cheap/rude! and I wouldnt even know how to go about asking that without sounding rude!
should we do it, if so how? any ideas?

I'm curious about some great first dance songs that aren't over-used. Tell me about the BEST (I know there are some great "crappiest/weirdest first dance songs" stories out there, but save em!) first dance song you heard. Thanks everyone! 10 points to the one that grabs me!

My fiance and I have lived together for almost 2 years, so we pretty much have everything we need already for our home. We can't afford to have a decent honeymoon, so I wondering what exactly is a honeymoon registry...

My parents and future inlaws suggested that we leave the wedding reception early to go on our honeymoon since they'll be renting a limo and hotel for us. I don't know if this is traditional or what. They said the reception is mainly for the guests. Here's what my fiance' and I have in mind...

- We eat and socialize for an hour

- The best man gives toast and we cut the cake

- Later we have our first couple dance

- I have my father/daughter dance

- Hug my parents and lil sister goodbye since they're out of town.

- During our departure everyone will cheer us on and wish us well with wedding bubbles (our reception is in the backyard), so i guess it's safe and less messy to use those

Our time at the reception will be less than 2 hours.

My questions are: Is this appropriate? Has anyone left the wedding reception early?

My parents are alot strict, and i dont know what to tell them. I mean, i have this wonderful girlfriend and we have been together for almost 2 years. I want to purpose to her this summer or near the end of this year, but i dont know what to tell my parents. I was just going to not anouce until i was 17, but i am afraid they will find out from someone else. I am very confused. I know you might not want me to be this young, but i love her so much and nothing is going to seperate us. And if we truly do love each other why wait another year or two. If we are meant to be together, God will supply a way for us. After high school, i was going to move in with her and her mom, b-c the college we want to attend is very close to them. Then after college, we were going to find a place to live on our own. I want to be a pentecostal preacher, so God will find a way if we are meant to be. So my ? is what should i tell my parents!!!
