I will be 21 tomorrow and I am getting married in June. I think that you should get married whenever you feel that you and your fiance are both ready. Age is just a number. My fiance and I are both very mature for our age, we both have full-time jobs and are financially stable to prepare for anything. We still go out and have fun with our friends. We are still the going to be the same people. I am on birth control because we are not ready to have children yet. But really I think it's all about who you are and what you want in a future as husband and wife together. I don't believe in statistics and I definitely don't believe that my fiance and I are ever going to be one. People say that the divorce rate is higher when you get married at a young age. No the divorce rate is just high. My mom told me this story one time about this old man who told her she was too young to be married. At the time she had been married for almost 15 years and he was already on his 3rd wife. My parents are going to celebrate their 30th anniversary this March. They were younger when they got married than me and my fiance are going to be. I grew up in a Christian home and so did my fiance and I believe that marriage is sacred and it is between you, your fiance, and God. If you think that you are ready then don't let anybody get in your way. Good Luck!

My parents got married when they were 20 and 21 and they are about to celebrate 25 years of marriage. It is not the age it is maturity and if you can be an adult and depend on yourselves. And of course you must really love each other and be friends. Legally 21 is not too young to get married.

It depends on the person not the age. Some people are more mature than others. I got married when I was 19yo and have been very happily married for over 16 years. We just had our first baby 8 months ago!

Yes! If you get married at 21 there's a very good chance you'll end up divorced. Take it slow. Your just becoming an adult, give yourself a chance to mature and make sure he/she's what you want. Just because you can doesn't mean you have to.

If you're having to ask this question then you're too young I'm afraid.....
Anyway! it doesn't always come down to age....more how mature a person is for their age really...getting married is one thing but keeping that marriage going & happy together is another.....

Do you know what you're going to do after you're married?
Does your fiance know what he's going to do after you're married?
Are you okay with your fiance's plans for your life? Is he okay with yours?
If the answer to any of these questions is "no" then go for couples counseling. Some things you can work out. Some things you can compromise on. If you can't, then you can't get married.
If everything is looking good, then... get married and live happily ever after!

It depends on if both people are mature enough to handle it. I got married when I was 22 but not everyone is ready. by the way, young, Y-O-U-N-G. no offense.

This depends on the individual. However, I think the statistics show that people who get married at such a young age often end up getting a divorce.
