"Mr. and Mrs. (your husband's first name) (your husband's last name) invite you to share in our joy as we celebrate our recent marraige. A reception will be held: (date, time, place)" Hope that helps!

2 instruments of invites. One set with "regular" wording for the folk attending the marriage and, i assume the reception. the 2nd set, make it an invitation to your reception to "have fun" your marriage. there are a number of books on the library to help you with the wording on each and every set. additionally, while you're ordering them, whoever you order your invites from could have adventure and understand a thank you to word each and every set for you and/or use wording you're able to desire or locate. you do no longer could clarify interior the invites FOR THE RECEPTION, WHY those people weren't INVITED TO the marriage. no count what, do no longer permit all people MAKE you experience in charge in any way, for below INVITING specific people TO the marriage basically AND each and every of something TO THE RECEPTION. it extremely is not any longer uncommon for couples to do. some get married on the courthouse, then have an excellent reception.

I'm not sure if you are looking for a formal invitation for a formal event or a cutesy invite for a not so formal party. Wording should be appropriate for the formalness of your event. If it is going to be a barbque party type thing, then you could do a really cutesy poem telling where you were married and that you want them to join you for food, drinks, and fun to celebrate.
If it is going to be formal then it should be worded similar to that of a formal wedding: Mr and Mrs --- ask you to join them in a celebration of their marraige. Reception to be held at ----- on --------. The same basic wording as a wedding invitation, just substitute the words " join them for the marriage of " with " join them for the celebration of their recent marraige" or something similar.

some ideas for cutesy non-formal invitations, but still VERY nice:
