Our florist had them and givien the amount of money we had already spent she rented them CHEAP!

I don't know about hiring them but if you want to buy for minimal outlay, I'd try e bay. You get great deals on all sorts of things. Good luck and enjoy your wedding day x x

My florist rents them (Westchester NY) but Im sure others do as well. I think they were 25$ each to rent and are about 4 feet tall.
