a friend of mine wants her best friend...a Guy, to stand up for her at her wedding. What would you call him. Would he be considered the bestman or what? If it was a woman she is named the Maid or Matron of Honor. He wouldn't be a groomsman because that would complement the Groom not the Bride. If anyone knows please get back with me ASAP

me and my fiance are getting married augest 13,2008. we already picked our maid of honor and best man our best friends but my fiances best friend girlfriend is giving us a hard time with him walking down the aisle with my best friend because they used to date 4 or 5 years ago they dont want eachother back but there doing this for me and my fiance. but the best mans girlfriend told me and my fiance that if they walk side by side then shes gonna walk out i feel bad but its my wedding i dont know what to do. am i wrong or is she wrong i need any advice thanks

I always hear about wild weddings in the news and on TV where there's a fight, the bride or groom is caught fooling around with the best man/maid of honor, churches catch on fire, etc. but I've never actually talked to or met anyone who was at such an event.

My fiance and I are having a hawaiian themed wedding. We would like our guests to come in nice hawaiian attire, but we don't want jeans and t-shirts. I am afraid if I put "casual" on the invitation, that's what we'll end up with. How can I tell my guests that although it's not black-tie, it's not jeans and t-shirts either. (Hawaiian shirts and dresses or sarongs would be acceptable.)

I am getting Married in May, my Grandmother is not doing to well. I barely have the wants to keep planning, everything is almost set for the day I choose. There is just a couple of things that need to be dealt with, but I dont have the want to keep planning becuase my Grandmother is not doing to well, does anybody have any advice? Does anyone know of a polite way to request that if wedding guests would like to give a gift to give money or gift cards?? Or are there any places you can register where gifts can be sent to you?? I dont want to sound rude or anything, but my fiance and I are getting married in North Dakota and we are currently living in Alaska...I'm sure you can understand the trouble with trying to pack up toasters and blenders in our luggage to get it home. Just wondering if anyone has seen a way to do this so I dont sound like a greedy you know what that just wants cash :)

my bf is coming on feb and i dont know what i can gift him. he bought me expensives gifts such as camera, an ipod. good body lotions products and his mom gifted me a bracelet and a necklace from Tiffany's. I know he would be happy with anything i would gift to him... but i dont wanna give him crappy stuffs ( i hope you know what i mean). i bought for his mom a very nice Monét Earrings with pearls and diamonds around (they are small size) and they are soo fine. Last time i bought him something i gave him a RL green stripes shirts. he liked alot. We are getting engaged so its not a simple gift. What about a bracelet? or a special ring signed with our names???

However, it falls on a Sunday and our chosen time is 12 noon.

Do catholic churches permit weddings on Sundays?

My parish church also has mass services at 11am - an hour before our wedding; how do i resolve this issue
