My best friend for over 11 years, is the closest person to a brother one can have. We are very close and I am the God-father to his 2nd child. I have been accepted into the family like and uncle to their children and a brother to my best friend and his wife. My brother and I are close, but not as close as we were when we were younger.

This is a bit early, but it's fun to plan now, and it gives me lots of research to do and fun while waiting (we -are- waiting until after his deployment, so wedding won't be until at least September 2008 (maybe even in August, at Pennsic!). We want to have a Scadian event (Society for Creative Anachronism) centered around our wedding, based on a historical wedding, preferably 14th century (as both our personas are 14th century). I'm trying to locate medieval weddings of that time period that we could possibly base our wedding around, and looking for all the details of said wedding. Any ideas?

see...i got engaged to my bf few months back. He kind of resigned fm his job after that...My dad doesn't like him coz he thinks he's worthless(i mean professionally) an to satisfy himself called up at my bf's office to kno wat job he was doin(my folks din kno that he's left his job) and were outraged 2 find out the truth...My dad says he wont marry me to him until he finds a decent job again...while my bf says that i shud be ready to marry him with or without a job an that i shud marry him by the time our marriage was originally fixed by my parents....he says that if i love him unconditionally then i shud marry him with or without my parents consent. By this I mean things like getting together with the groom and his men, and the rest of the guys, and either going out or sitting around playing video games and drinking booze and laughing about Britney Spears's lack of underwear. I hate them for it, but what I want to know is, why do they DO it? Is it because of some weird, antiquarian desire to just.."be one of the guys"?? Can they *really* be that..shallow?? I just got back from attending the bride's little night-before-the-wedding get-together, and dropping to by the *groom's* little..."get-together." Yeah. At the girls' thing, they were all talking and wrestling with major life issues in marriage, and talking about things like how she needs to study up on ways to please her man, etc... And then I go over to pick up my husband at the groom's thing, and they're swigging whiskey and yowling about demolitions materials and Britney Spears. Wow, deep stuff here, huh?
So. Some help here, please..

I also need HELP in finding my husband baptismal records.neither of his parents remember which church! I'm pressed for time in getting all this information together before we can get married by the church in May 2007. My guess is that they baptized him in the same church as where they got married. he says he loves me a lot but says he doesnt want to hurt me because he knows nothing can happen & so he says no commitments from the angle of love ever in our life.manytimes he says i love you as a great friend so i should never leave him & that he is with me until death.nowadays he wants me to get married as soon as possible with some good guy and although his whole family wants him to get marry still he doesnt want to get married himself inspite of his marriagable age.i want to leave him as i feel typical & sometimes ashamed to be in contact with a guy who knows what i feel for him.
he is very successful in his carreer.i dont know his family personally as i met him thru net, we are having different religions, he has a very conservative family,exactly opposite of mine.many yrs ago his relation with a girl broke just as they were about to marry since than he didnt trusted girls as i heard although i never felt that.ther's a 7yrs difference in our ages which bothers him.

My boyfriend wants to give me a promise ring and already has it, but says it will stay a suprise as to when he will give it to me. I am so anxious.... we have been out many times since he told me.. I know he has it, but the suspense it AWWW!!!! (GREAT!!!)
