Ok so you just got engaged...let's say January 2007 OK! Now you want a winter wedding that will push you to December of 2008 so your cousin can attend running your engagement just short of 2 years!! Yeah that is a bit on the long side but here's my opinion. I have been engaged since July 23, 2005 and my wedding is March 17, 2007. My engagement will be approximately one year and 8 months long! To be honest I would not of had it any other way. I especially recommend this if you are having a larger wedding. I have around 200 guests attending and work full time so the longer time frame for planning has helped tons. I have been able to coordinate everything on my own and found everythin I was searching for. Besides family & friends are so important to have at your wedding, or why else have one?? Another suggestion would be scrap the "winter" wedding comprimise and have a late summer or Fall wedding!! Mainly, I think you should wait the time flies by in a blink of an eye. It feels like I just got engaged and here I am 2 months away from the BIG day!! Congratulations and Best of Luck~This will be the time of your life

Congratulations! Plan your winter wedding. I'm assuming it will be the winter of 2007. There just may be a good chance your best friend/cousin could make it home on leave. It's not unheard of. You and your fiance' have a whole year to plan. So does your cousin.

Good luck and again, congrats!

First off ask your fiancee (Congratulations!!!) how he feels about it. If you are both ok with waiting that long then I'd say go for it. If there's some doubt by either of you then I'd set a date sometime in the middle. If by a few months before then you guys want to discuss it again then think about it.

I wish you both the best of luck!
Alesh rin!!

Don't be engaged so long, that's just silly. Plan a wedding within the next year.

that is kind of a long time to wait, but I guess its because I dont believe in long engagements. you cousin might be a good friend of yours, but this is starting your life with someone. you really dont need your cousin there to do it. you could wait until June, but what if your cousin has to stay longer or if he comes back then has to leave again or something? you cant really plan a wedding around someone elses life.

Get married before he goes, and have a huge winter party in 2008.

your wedding will still be a wedding regardless of what time of year it is! have it sooner rather than later so your friend can attend.

Hmmmm.... some cousin are you?...:) well, you should ask yourself too... Are you willing to put your wedding on hold? If you know & have asked for God`s sign, you know when is the right time. Pray for it, have a talk w/ your fiance´. & if things is going in your way as you plan, that means God is in your side!..:)
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! GOD BLESS YOU BOTH.

Tell him the same thing me and my recent fiance' always says. What's the hurry? We have our whole lives ahead of us and neither one of us is going anywhere. We told people that many times.
