Usually the first dance is a song that is considered the song that you have had since you two have known each other.

Thing of some songs that would be considered your song or maybe try some romantic songs that are your favorite as your first dance.

I don't know your musical tastes but if you take a look at some of your favorites then maybe you could come up with something?

If you like classical music and ballroom dancing there are a number songs out there that are quite nice that I could suggest. I like the waltzes from the nutcracker suite and the composer from the nutcracker suite's name. I may have to look that up.

Tracy Bird's Keeper of the Stars (Sang during the ceremony)
(My husband and I went to the concert and heard this song)
Kenny Chesney Me and You (This is what We danced to)
This song is how he asked me out for the second time, after we wanted to make sure we were right and there was no one else)
A song that has meaning to it. A good idea is to find a love song CD of the kind of music you like and just sit and listen to them. Maybe over dinner or wedding planning : ), then look up the lyrics to make sure the words mean the same as you feel.

It depends what sort of music you like and whether you want a slow dance opr a faster dance that people can join in with later. I had KC and Jo Jo 'All My Life', but I know someone who had the Time Waro to get everyone up and dancing (I didnt go I just heard!)

Try and pick a sing that special to you both though

Usually something by Captain and Tenille, Kenny Rogers or Stevie Wonder. Something slow and classic that is a love song but not too trendy. 10 years from now you do not want to watch the video and it feels dated with a love song out right now and it just seems ridiculous. Thats my two cents.
