I always hear about wild weddings in the news and on TV where there's a fight, the bride or groom is caught fooling around with the best man/maid of honor, churches catch on fire, etc. but I've never actually talked to or met anyone who was at such an event.

i have seen a guest who's hair caught on fire at the church because there were open flame candles, saw a bride trip down the aisle, a groom show up an hour late completely drunk out of his mind, watched my finance strip at a reception where everybody was cheering him on...i have attended over 275 weddings and have designed for over 595 so i could keep going

My husband and I went to a friends wedding and the best man was passing out keys during the reception. He then got up and started his speech and said now will all the girls that still have a key to the grooms apartment come and give them back bc now he is definitely off the market! It was halarious - even the brides 70 year old aunt had a key and her maid of honor. The bride was so pissed that her and the groom fought the rest of the night - loud enough for everyone to hear too!

Actually, the craziest wedding I ever attended was very scary for me, as a guest. There were no fights or anything like that, it was the wedding vows that scared me. The grooms vows were all about how his wife was an evil temptress who needed to be suppressed by her holy husband, and all of her thoughts and deeds must be approved by him at all times. The brides vows were how she would forever obey her husband, and strive everyday to become worthy of even being in his presence, yet always know that she was a woman and would never be worthy of love or forgiveness.

This was a Christian wedding, I don't know what denomination, and bride was pregnant. I was shaking in my chair the whole time after I heard those vows.

I was a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding and it was horrible! The bride wore a long-sleeved, elaborate gown, even though she was getting married outdoors in July in a not-so-nice park. The caterer never showed up; when the guests arrived, they had to set up the ceremony site; the groomsmen were dressed in entirely different outfits - one wore jeans; the bride walked down the aisle to music from a jukebox in the back of a pick-up truck; and one of the groomsmen was missing because he left with his fiancee to go get food from McDonald's.

The first time I met my finance's family was at his cousin's wedding. It was at the top of a mountain at ski resort; we had to take the gondola to get there. All of that was nice. The weird part was the bride and HER DAD danced to "Why Don't We Get Drunk and Screw."

How about this...

a groom who wanted to "walk his German attack dog down the aisle." and when he was told no, the dog attacked the wedding planner .....

a bride who got so drunk she had to be shut off and then slugged her father in the face.....

guests attending the wedding in leathers..... brides gets out of the limo in "a puff of smoke" and guys going into the one stall men's room in pairs....hey Man!

I've got a boat load of stories.

we had the Cirque Du Soliel perform at our wedding...I guess the most craziest thing at our wedding was my husband's businness associate/friend's date came somewhat naked, this idiot wore a black see through dress, you could see her thong and her bra.
