I just got engaged a few days ago, but I'm leaving again to go back to college in 3 weeks. My mother and I like to be fairly organized about things and we like to get things done early. When is it appropriate for me to ask my future mother in-law for a guest list for their family and friends? I mean I just got engaged, but I only have 7 months to plan and I'll be in school half of that and working so I need to plan on my time off, am I rushing things? I don't want to be bridezilla!!

Does anyone know of a nice place for a small intimate, inexpensive wedding in S.E. Colorado or N.E. New Mexico? I have google'd and yahoo'd my fingers to death...and I just cant find much. If anyone knows of any websites or has had first hand experience at a Mountain wedding...please let me know. Thanks!

Okay, long story short. At a wedding a person was video taping. Anyway a guy accidentially knocked over the tri-pod which the video camera was resting on and damaged the video camera. The person who owns the video camera now wants the guy who knocked it over to pay $300.00 in repairs. The person who knocked it over claims it was an accident, he apoligized but said he is not willing to pay as it was an accident, and it could of happened to anyone. Who do you think/know is right in this case?

Thanks

I need some ideas for what we could do for my friend's bachelor party. He doesn't want any strippers or drinking, but wants it to be a fun time none the less. Any ideas? The less money we spend, the better of course, but don't let that inhibit any ideas.

Paintball? Lan Party? It's for June, but we need to start planning now. No, we don't live by the beach.

I want to walk out to a funny or cute song at my wedding, but I cannot come up with anything....also, it has to be something that the director of music at my church will approve...in other words, clean. Any ideas?

I have been with my boyfriend for a little over 3 years. The first year we always talked about getting married and how we want the wedding, and our life together afterwards. Now for the past two years we never talk about getting married. If i bring it up he will change the subject. I have a friends wedding anniversary to go to next month, its their ten year anniversary. And all my boyfriend can do is complain about not wanting to go, he went as far as getting into a fight with me about it. I do not know if this relationship is worth the effort anymore or not. I still love him more then anything in the world. What should I do?

I found a very unique bridal gown, bought it yesterday at $600.00, came home and looked up the brand online and found out that it was a prom dress sold online for $300.00. Im very dissapointed for some reason! I feel like a made a poor choice and of course cannot be returned! Still I love the dress but cannot get over the fact that somebody might find out that it is Prom dress. What would you do????

I just got engaged Wednesday, and I have no idea where to start. I was just wondering what the first thing was that you had to buy for your wedding. I know the dress is an obvious choice, but I was wondering should I get all my undergarments and slip and all before I go shopping for a dress? It all seems waaayyyy overwhelming. :) We are thinking either April or June for the wedding, so that's not a whole lot of time to plan. Any advice?

We've been together for 7 years, a child, a new business and a lot of future plans. He is a good guy and a good father and even though he doesn't give me attitude every single day, when he does is kind of bad and it hurts so much that I have to cry. It really hurts when he yells at me to a point in where it even makes me think about forgetting about everything and leave him, but then stupid me after he says sorry, I won't do it again and I'll try to change, it seems like if at that moment I don't have any other choice but to forget the incident and keep on walking. Even when he apologize knowing that he was wrong he would still blame it on me by saying that I made him do it. I don't know what to do, I really want to keep my family together and I don't want 7 more years to past by dealing with the same thing. Compare to when I met him he has improved like an 80 % but I'm still kind of disatisfy. We're suppose to get marry but I don't know now. What do you think I can do? pleasetellme

my boyfriend has been engaged before, becasue the girl was pregnant. he says he didn't truly love her, and he loves me completely. my problem is, is that he went out and picked a ring for her and the ring that he iss giving me was his grandmothers ring. he says my ring means more but i can't get it out of my head that he actually went out adn picked a ring out for this pther girl at one time. i feel like i am just getting a ring that he had easy access to. is that really selfish of me? i feel horrible that i have a problem with it and we have discussed it. i want the ring that he wants ot give me but i also want my ring to be as special as the one he has given someone else. help me get past this, please.

One of my best friends (15 years+) has recently asked me to be in her wedding only 7 months away. She is insisting that the bridesmaids' gowns be purchased immediately. I am one of 6 bridesmaids, and the problem is that I am much larger than any of the other women. The bride is a size 8; all the other bridesmaids are between a size 4 and a size 10; I currently wear a size 24 (US sizes). Originally, she told me I would have a year to a year and a half to loose whatever weight I wanted (I've lost 15 pounds already), but she has now halved that by moving up the wedding. She asked for my input on selecting the bridesmaid gown, then refused to accomodate my request of having nothing strapless or sleeveless, due to the fact that while fine for thin women, these styles of dress look horrific on me.
Do I suck this up and spend the entire day looking like Jabba the Hut while everyone else looks fabulous, or do I simply withdraw myself from the wedding party?

My fiancee suggested me yesterday not to do a wedding reception considering our budged (2,000), we made a guest list 2 months ago & ended up with 100 guest most of them common friends, I have no family alive, just 2 uncles and a cousin all I have for family is mostly my friends, he will have his closest family (mom, sis, bro) in town that day. He suggested just family going to a nice restaurant after, I understand his point and I would like to agree with that but I also would like to spend at least some time with my friends also. If we are getting married in the beach is it OK to invite 100 people just to a ceremony? would that sound rude to them? What is the best I can offer them a public beach? can I bring cocktails? or should I just strecht 2000 into a reception?, I would like to be close to my friends that day and have them enjoy it with me even with no reception and do something nice that I will remember forever. What should I do?
