I have been with my boyfriend for 5 years. We are high school sweethearts. I want to get engaged so bad! he is still in school but will be done by the summer. I dont want to get married until 2008 or 2009 so he would have time to get a good job and everything. I dont know what to do..I am getting so discouraged because I have waited a long time and he seems like he is very comfortable and doesnt seem like he has to move on to the next step anytime soon. I practically live with him so he probably thinks nothing will change. It is driving me crazy because I want to be engaged..please help me. What should I do?

PS. I know I cant make him or anything but he tells me we def. will get married but I dont want to wait another 5 years or so.

I'm 50 years old and the Vice President of a bank. My wife and I are worth close to $500,000 in assests. The average wedding in my state costs $22,000. Please answer honestly. Thank you.

My new fiance, and I are both 44, and want to know what you all think. Should we go for a church wedding at our age or not? We are both Catholic, and the Preist told us it was up to us. We want also to hear from you! He has never been married, and I have been divorced for 7 years. We both belong to the same parish and have completed our pre-marriage classes. Tell us your thoughts!

You know, people you don't know at all, just to see if you could get away with it? Were you caught?

What do you think of a beach wedding on a tropical island? is it really romantic? I watched a video of a beach wedding posted on Youtube, looked a bit pathetic (there were strangers in bikini in the background)

I am engaged and was wondering if I can call my boyfriend my fiancee. The dictionary defines the word as 'a betrothed woman'.

So I have come to the point where planning for my wedding is no longer fun and it's becoming way too stressful (for those of you 4 months away from you wedding date I am sure you can relate). I have decided to venture out and get your opinions to hopefully help in me in some way because God knows I need it...lol.

For the life of me, I cannot decide what I want to do about my bridesmaids flowers. I am wearing ivory, my BM are wearing taupe with champagne sash (Bill Levkoff #966). I know 2 things for sure - I want the flowers to all be roses and I want white with baby pink roses. Now, for my girls, I just don't know :( I do know that I want their bouqets different than mine, but I also want them to compliment mine.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated =)

my fiance and I were planning a local wedding until some family problems (on my side) happened and we thought what a great idea it would be to just go off to Jamaica and have our wedding at a beautiful resort.. I thought just the two of us would go since none of our family can go with us (too expensive) but he invited two of his long time friends that have just recently moved to the area to come along with us. I do NOT want them to come along. I don't want anyone to. I rather spend a loving long week of just the two of us and no one else to spoil the fun. I'm not a huge people person and I'd really like to just have it be us. Fiance is throwing a fit, we're to the brink of calling the whole thing off. He's been married twice before, me never. I'm about ready to punch the guy for not thinking about my feelings over his friends. Suggestions please!!

Although romantic, it seems like kind of a selfish thing to do. It's supposed to be the bride and groom's special day, when it's supposed to be all about them. To make a big commotion by starting YOUR engagement right then and there seems wrong to me, so i would never do it. What do you think?

I have met someone I want to marry, we have been in comunication for 6 months. We want to marry. I want to find the cheapest and easiest way to bring her here, and I'm looking for any help I can get. A round trip flight for me is over $1100., then with a financee Visa, and the $1100 round trip ticket for her is hard to do on 20k income.
I would like some help finding a cheaper way. We love each other very much, and want to spend the rest of our lives together. As it stands, I will have vacation time in July, and may have the money to go to Russia to see her then. But then, I will have a hard time getting the money to get her here. I need solutions! Or answers! How can I do this when I live paycheck to paycheck, and living takes most all my money. She makes less money than I do, so she can't help, as all of her money goes to living expenses. Please help us find an easier and cheaper solution.

What do you think? I have my eye on this very special girl, and I also have my eye on a couple of very special Tiffany rings. I think I can save 30% or more if I bought the rings off of eBay rather than buying from Tiffany's new (in the alternative, I can get a 30% bigger, better ring for the same $5-6,000 I want to spend). Any ring I'd buy would be in good condition, with all the paperwork, and the cool Tiffany box. But I'm sure that, if you'd look closely, you could see that it's not brand spanking new. Do you think this is an okay thing to do? My sweetie is not overly impressed with ring size, but she most definitely deserves something nice.

I am a 24 yr old guy who isn't married because I haven't achieved financial security yet. I am thinking about getting married around 30-32.
What is the ideal (average?) age to get married for American males?
Is 30-32 not late?
