I am engaged and was wondering if I can call my boyfriend my fiancee. The dictionary defines the word as 'a betrothed woman'.

fiance=the man
fiancee=the woman

But they are pronounced the same, I believe. Just spelled different.

A betrothed man is a fiance, a betrothed woman is a fiancee.

i call my boyfriend my fiance so yea i think u can call a man a fiance. fiancee and fiance mean the same only one is spelled different and fiancee is for a betrothed woman and fiance is for a betrothed man

Yes you can refere to his as your fiancée. what else would you call him, he's not your husband yet, and he's not your boyfriend anymore. The dictionary people should change their definition of that. A Betrothed person.

No, technically not. A man is a "fiance" and a woman is a "fiancee". They are pronounced the same, but spelled differently.

If you have a ring and a date he is referred to as your fiance. Fiancee is a female.

because fiancee with two e's is feminine. the word is French...the masculine form is fiance with one e. But yes..he can be called your Fiance

Yeah it is ok to call him you fiance`. It is pretty much accepted that when a woman speaks of her intended husband she refers to him as her fiance and vice versa. No worries. But if it does just keeping calling him your boyfriend or future husband.
