Where did you purchase your wedding gown?
Did you purchase it online or at a local bridal shop?
Were you satisfied?
Do you think you spent too much or not enough?
What kind of a dress was/is it? Ballgown, A-Line, princess gown train/no train, short/long?
What color was it? White, ivory, champagne, cream, red .... ?
Did you wear a veil, headpiece or tiara?

I just like to collect some opinions and ideas.
Oh and it would be great if you had a picture of the gown you were wearing at your wedding or will be wearing.

Thank you for your help!

I got married in the summer and I really want my wedding pics on a disc. It was never really discussed before the wedding but I just assumed that we could purchase it. I thought that was like a standard thing. Isnt it?
She is making it difficult. Acting like it is an insult. Saying it is so much work to figure out how much it is worth. And do we want all the pictures? YES. and what file size? large or small? I dont know what file size.
How should I deal with this situation. I really need that disc to make christmas presents for family and friends, especially since she does not have time to do them for us.

The bride wants us to provide for a large rehearsal dinner, including guests like her grandparents, and I am not sure who else. I am serious about our income, my husband is ill, on short term disability from work, we are right now going to food banks. We can not even make it from month to month. Our son is a college student, works part time, and his opinion is, "its her wedding, she should have what she wants". We are going to be meeting her and her family over Christmas, (we live 3 states away, and another son is paying our way to come visit for holidays). We don't know how to tell this priveledged girl that even a "frugal" rehearsal dinner is out of our means. Should we talk to her family when we meet them, and let them know our "reality"? At this point, I don't even know how we will even be able to afford to ATTEND the wedding, much less pay for the dinner!

People get pretty hung up about their wedding cake (among other wedding concerns). Superficial icing aside, is there a genuine tradition or is it part of the confectionary conspiracy? What, if any meaning is there?

He's loving, romantic and emotionally stable. However, phychologically, he is very attached to his mother, mommy's boy. I feel that I'll always be No. 2 compared to his mother. When we did clash, he sided his mother first. It took him 5 whole days to see my point in the last argument with his mom. I earn more than him and with higher academic qualification. At first I didn't mind but now the disparity is getting more obvious. We've been together for 3 years, engaged for 6 months. His mother proposed when we were going steady for less than a year. It didn't come from him, although he did propose a few months later in the proper way. I think he lack initiative. Planning to get married in July next year. Deposits have been paid, some refundable, some not. Been getting restless nights lately, thinking if I should proceed with the wedding. I'm 26, going to 27. He's of the same age. Please advice.

They usually take place on the eve of the wedding. Is it a good or bad way to end being single?

I recently got engaged and then after the engagment she started to question what will you do if I did something bad? what makes you mad? She also said I will throw off your ring (engagment), I will spend all your money, I will not let go off my friends...is that normal?

I know it's not a question, but I wanted to let everyone here know. The women there are rude, and to be honest, mentally unstable. A friend and I have been stalked because of them.
So, use the Knot for your research and wedding site...but don't use their forums.

Have a good day!

When your bridal party entered the reception, how were you announced? Was it quietly, with music, by gender or what? And if it was to music, what song were you playing or plan to play?

The last wedding i went to the DJ announced the Guys first to "Here comes the men in black" and the girls were announced using "We are family" (they were all related)

So you invite all your friends to come and they can go off the registry to get you something, then they have to get your another gift for the actual wedding? Isnt that kinda bad?

Most of the weddings I have been to lately seems like all they get is cards... Im guessing with cash or gift cards. Should I not worry about doing a registry at my wedding... any advice?
