I know it's not a question, but I wanted to let everyone here know. The women there are rude, and to be honest, mentally unstable. A friend and I have been stalked because of them.
So, use the Knot for your research and wedding site...but don't use their forums.

Every forum has their bad apples - even Yahoo Answers has em - some people just have to much time on their hands:) But- it does backfire to - someone read something on my wedding blog once that they didn't like and posted about it on The Knot forums, bashing me. They said some really nasty stuff about me and my blog but as a result - my traffic went nuts and I actually even made some sales from my bridal store that is attached to the blog!!!

There are trolls in every forum, and those who are quite 'opinionated'. I am registered on the knot with my fiancee and have had some good success. It's not so much the venue as it is the vistiors who may have made your experience a bad one. Let's be careful to not paint the entire forum with a big brush.

I heard something similar from a friend that just recently got married.
She said she would post a legit question there... IE: What kind of band should I hire? (What kind of music.) And she would get rude responses like "Why would you hire a band? You're stupid. Hire a DJ." Etc.
I guess the same could happen, and does, on answers though.

I wouldn't even use them for the research, since many of their articles have glaring errors in them and contain horrid advice. They are slaves to their advertisers and just out to make a buck.
(BTW, this is not a chat area, you're supposed to ask a question, you know!? Not just come over here and talk.)

Grow a thicker skin! The most invaluable knowlege on there is is the forums.
