2nd thoughts are normal. Weddings are very stressful, and tend to bring out the worst in people at times. If you've thought about this seriously, and have done everything you can to make the marriage work, then you'll be fine. But it really depends on what the 2nd thoughts are about too. If something's happened that has caused you to seriously think this marriage may not work, then you need to trust that feeling, and re-evaluate your decision. Remember, it's better to cancel a wedding than get divorced. But EVERYONE gets cold feet before getting married, it's a big decision. Good luck!

If there are second thoughts a few months from the wedding, then figure out WHY you have them. If it is small things, then its probobly just nerves. If it is serious, then be glad you still have time to cancel. Decide if what youre having second thoughts about is something you could live with forever or not. Maybe speak to a clergy member or counseler soon. good luck.

sit down with your fiance & talk about why you are hesitating.
go to a counsellor to talk things through so that you can decide how serious these thoughts are.
IF IN DOUBT ---- DONT.

i.e:- if you are not absolutely sure that you want the marriage to happen ; at the very least postpone it for now.
I have known a few people who have postponed/cancelled the wedding
also some people who have said "" I went ahead with the ceremony knowing that I shouldn't because: -- all these guests from out of town; dont want to waste the money/;let parents down; its only cold feet ( will feel different afterwards)
these people have ended up divorcing in a short time
2 weeks before 1 of my brothers was to be married his fiance said to me "" I don't want to get married ** - I told here then - even though he is my brother if that is how you feel then DON'T.
she went ahead with the wedding & about 2 years later they parted ways

I heard a comment somewhere that is worth considering -
"""marriage is not necessarily about whether you can live with your partner ; but ; if you can't live without him/her"""

I would not get married if i had second thoughts right before the wedding you cant get married because then if you guys are not right for each other then you guys have to look forward to a divorce.

Don't stress, you need to sit down alone with your thoughts and think why your having second thoughts? Did something recently happen, or did it come from no where? THen you need to talk to your fiance, you should be able to tell him anything so just let him know that your getting a little nervous..... Your going to be fine, maybe after the talk you will realize why you feel in love with him in the first place.

Second thoughts?? Then I'd say...don't get married. It's much easier to cancel a wedding than it is to get divorced. Absolutely do NOT get married if there are ANY second thoughts!! Trust me..I've been married 30 years.

EVERYONE has second thoughts before marriage. It is a HUGE step. However, NEVER marry someone if there has been domestic violence, drugs and/or alcohol or anything that will NOT change after you are married. Otherwise, it is perfectly fine. If there is something bothering, you may want to re-ask your question to the community.

This is normal. Do you know this person well enough to marry them, Will you be treated right, is this a really good person, will this person hold down a steady job, do you really want to spend the rest of your life with them. This is what you have to answer yes too before you get married.

if your having second thoughts i wouldn't get married, its better to stop the wedding than going thru with it. do you really want to go through a divorce, and in the long run its better to wait until there is no second thoughts on getting married. good luck on whatever you decide to do.
