I would be happy with a small wedding, but SHE wants a huge one with all her church friends, thats why shes flipping most of the bill. She has already shot down my dress, flower &color choices. The big problem is she wants NO alcohol. Our package at the hotel INCLUDES a cocktail hour, a glass of wine at dinner, and a champange toast. Also the beverage minimum is $4k. She forbids any of it! Even the toast! She wants to toast with apple cider, and serve fruit punch and water ONLY, not even soda. We are going to lose about $7k by forfitting the alcohol, the hotel won't change their minimums just because we choose not to have it. She is a big part of her church, and says that we arent "allowed" to have alcohol, but the reception isnt at the church, its at a hotel! Also, my family are drinkers and want to have a good time, they are really upset about this. She doesnt even aknowlege that I have a family, its all about her. I cant speak up cause she is paying for so much! What to do?

My fiance and I had a great sex life till we moved!!!I dont know if its the stress from the wedding planning or the new place? Whenever we start having sex...either i go completely dry or he stops performing....its really weird...I dont know what to do??What happened to out great sex life?????????Please tell me what i can do to make it better?? or doesn anyone getting married have the same problem??

I've been with my boyfriend for over 6 years. We have a very close relationship and I know I want to spend the rest of my life with him. Recently, my friend announced she's getting married and I'm her bridesmaid. Everyone ahs been asking me when are me and my boyfriend getting married and saying stuff like "It'll be you next" I just have never really thought of it like that. I mean we live together and have a mortgage so I guess marriage would be the next step, but is it important these days or could it just lead to problems?

I have been with my boyfriend for a year and a half. We met and immeadiatley became very serious. we got a new apartment together 6 months ago and have both met each other's families (everyone loves each other and gets along!)
This has really been a dream realtionship for me and he says the same. Even thought its been a year and a half he began bringing up our future at around the 4 month mark. (he talks all the time about our "future children".) We've gone to 3 weddings together, had a great time.
I guess with the holidays coming up and the fact that all of our friends thought we'd be hitched aldready is making me crazy. why hasn't he proposed? I bring it up and he says that i shoudln't worry about that now, but if not now, when? We're both almost 30, have great jobs and and make each other laugh. I am getting frustrated. I have also said in passing that I don't even want a ring, I just want to be his wife, but still nothing. He says I'm his soul mate, why won't he propose?

My brother is getting married next weekend. He thinks the dollar dance would humiliate his new bride. We were at a wedding last month and we saw the Italian tradition of cutting the grooms tie and selling the pieces to the wedding guests, and the money is given to the bride and groom. He really liked it, but would feel foolish as we are not Italian. I would like to come up with a few ideas for something like that as they are a young couple and it would be great if they were to recieve something to help with the honeymoon. Anyone have any good ideas?

I'm going to a wedding shower next weekend and I've never been to one before. I don't know the bride very well, but she is marrying by b/f's good friend. I'm not sure what goes on at a wedding shower, could someone explain it to me. Also they have a registry at The Bay what the appropriate amount to spend on a shower gift??
