Im sure I can stand up for alot of ppl here. If I wanted to be called stupid I would ask "Am I stupid?" sure would save me points. Ppl dont put time into this site to be ridiculed.

question
I am paying for my wedding. Small budget. Renting a dancefloor is too expensive (same for tent). It will be held in parents backyard (praying no rain). Anyone have ideas to make my own?

The answer
I see this is a real halfassed wedding. I'll be cheaper to rent one than buy one and they set it up, make sure it's level and no one will get hurt and afterwards they take it away. Why not wait and save some money to have a real wedding. Because praying is NOT a tent.If prayer worked, we wouldn't need insurance.

I hope this all taken into account lady! Doesnt matter how halfassed a wedding is it is still a "real" wedding. This is what I wanted, big honeymoon &small wedding. GOT IT? Im sorry that us poor ppl cant be like you.You bragged about your nephew too please! $ doesnt make love forever or better!!

Was it a successful union? Are you still married? Have you separated or been divorced? Please share anything you would like from your own personal experience about this type of union.

I'm talking bridesmaids and the maid of honor ... I know who I want to ask, but I'm not getting married until 06/28/08 ... I feel like it might be nice to get them gifts this Christmas that have to do with it and ask them at the same time, but is this too far in advance? Should I wait until Spring or Summer (2007)??

I'm not really worried about having a "falling out" with them (I'm only picking 1 maid of honor and 2 bridesmaids, as well) ... I just wonder if it would be weird.

There is the cutest, sweetest Chapel in Rough and Ready, CA which is an old gold rush town. They will do any style of wedding, like fancy, country, theme, and it's very reasonable. I love it. Everyone else is having expensive, big, (seems to me) impersonal weddings, what do you think? Would this be cool or too old fashioned?

My wedding is in a little over a week and the weather forecast says its gonna be below 30 degrees that day. (not typical for this region). My dress is strapless and I do have a nice wrap but I recently decided I want to try and find some nice arm length satin gloves to wear. It's not really that big a deal if I don't find any, but I think it would make the dress look a little more wintery is all (not to mention keep me warmer...our church is a little drafty and tends to be fairly cold.) With so little time I can't order them offline. I looked in the various bridal stores and all of them are way to expensive (ie David's - where I got my dress and Alfred Angelo's and a couple of the local bridal boutiques). Does anyone else know where I might find nice full length gloves for a reasonable price? Any ideas will help. - PS - I live in Central Oklahoma

This is a 2 part question...

1.) What is your opinion of it? I've heard that some people think it's very tacky, others think it's a lot of fun (and good for spending money on the honeymoon!)

2.) How does it work? Do you just stand there until someone puts money in your bag to dance with you? Does your fiance do it, too?

Thank you!

We're expecting about 20 kids, ranging in age from 2 to 12. It will be an evening wedding, and we want to keep the kids entertained while the grown-ups are doing grown-up things.

I was thinking that coloring books and/or art supplies could be fun...What else do you think could be fun for the kids, not too expensive, and not too messy for the reception location?

what did you do to your wedding gifts that you didn't like? Did you re-sell it on eBay or gave it away or return it or is it still sitting in your closet?

The bride didn't send me a thank you note for her gift yet. I sent her a $100 gift card to Olive Garden and I knew she used it because I checked the balance on the gift card. Her wedding was in August and now it is November and she didn't even send me a thank you note for it. Does this mean she's ungrateful?
She is my grandpa's niece and she knew I was coming because we have been emailing each other prior to her wedding. I flew from NJ to Cali.
After I came home she emailed me saying that she's sorry she didn't spend time with me when I was there. I emailed her back asking her if she got my gift card and if not, I have insurance for it in case it got lost (I just said that to be nice and I already knew she used it). I haven't heard from her since.
Does this mean she's inconsiderate?

I am a bride getting next July and I currently have 8 women in my bridal party. Two of them are standing up because they are friends of my fiancee. My bridesmaid dresses are $150.00 and are really very cheap compared to most. I have already had 4 of my ladies complain about the price of the dresses. Have any of you brides out there had to deal with this and what did you do?

We're going pretty inexpensive at my wedding and so not hiring a professional photographer. I'm going to hand my pretty decent camera off to a friend or family member to get shots (I'm in the "prosumer" range myself but can't really photograph my own wedding :) ), but I'd like to whip up a list of shots to get, i.e. vows, walks down the aisle, closeup of rings being slid onto hands, etc. I'm afraid if I don't specify at least a little it will be several of the same shot. The people I'm considering will be find with such a list, so if you're a professional photographer (especially wedding) or have experience from a wedding, lemme know what shots I'll want but might not be thinking of.

P.S. We're putting disposable cameras on the tables at the reception, so I think we'll have a good amount of group shots from that.

How long after a guy is married is it acceptable for him to get a mistress?

I mean I really like my wife but cmon now its been 3 weeks since we tied the knot and she is still crying that I go out with my girlfriend 4 nights a week.

I thought even though we were married we would still do our own thing.

Are all woman this tempramental or should I slap some sense into her?
