I think it will be very pretty. Go with a Dark Purple and a light lavender. They will off set eachother beautifully! You can do a theme of your monogram. You can incorporate the silver to your cake with your monogram in silver on top of your cake. Silver monograms on napkins, favors, etc. It will be so pretty!
Have fun! I have been having a blast planning our wedding. I don't know what I will do with myself when it is over!!! :-)

Yes - lavender and purple are perfect for a spring wedding - and white and silver work as accent colors any time of year.

While you don't need a theme for your wedding, it is nice to tie everything together. The nice thing about having purple in your wedding, especially around easter time, you might be able to use some of the decor that your church already has up. We chose red and silver for our wedding because we wanted to invest in nice decorations that we could later reuse in our new house. Find some colors that you love and splurge!

A friend of mine did lavender and lime green and somehow even that looked good. For an April wedding, it might look a little
Easter-ie but all in all as long as you like it who cares? My colors are dark apple red and champagne and I dare someone to tell me something. It's my wedding. They can step off. Just make sure you like it and YOU are happy. Oh yeah, and don't forget to ask your husband to be. It's his wedding too.

Those colors sound beautiful! I had navy blue in April, so you are doing a lot better in going with the seasons than I did!! I think that you should maybe do a Spring theme. Lots of flowers (you could maybe throw in a little yellow...just as an accent...an inbetween color) to incorporate the spring theme. Sounds beautiful!! happy planning!

Those are excellent colors. But make sure your groom is okay with them. :) Lavender is a "girly" color. Purple isn't so much. So you could use mostly purple, and accent with the lavender and silver and white. It would be a nice compliment to your dress.

That sounds really nice go with what you feel. I don't know how your wedding is but the vision I have is for lavender satin linens on the table with the accent colors on a huricane candle holder with candle and flowers around it

I wouldn't worry about a theme unless you are having you're having your wedding someplace other than a church, like on the beach. The colors you've chosen sound beautiful. Your fiance's tux could either be white, gray, charcoal gray (very classy and matches great with any shade of purple) or classic black. Or, you could do what my husband did. His favorite color is purple, so his tux jacket was eggplant (VERY dark purple) with black lapels. His pants were black and his cumberbund and tie matched the tux jacket. It was very classy and you really couldn't tell it was purple unless you got close.

I like the colors, and a trip to fairyland comes to mind when I think of themes. You can use spring flower garlands for the bridesmaids heads and you can have little fairy centerpieces. Lots of dancing, fabric, and flowers make a fairy tale wedding.
