What do you think about arranged or "chosen" marriages?

I'm gonna get matched whn I'm a little older, and am totally accepting of it, and I think it's wonderful...but I was just curious about what all you yahoo-ers think of it? Do any of you guys have arranged marriages?

by the way, arranged marriages are very popular in my religion, Unificationism, and I live in California.

You couldn't possibably live in the United States. I have NEVER heard of or known of an arranged marriage. Not even my great great great grandparents had arranged marriages. People in our country can't even comprehend it.

I can't imagine anyone having an arranged marriage. I think it is crazy. But, then in your country it is normal, so you need to live with in your culture and us in our.

I believe very strongly in love. I would never marry without that.

I was arranged to marry this girl and when i met her she was beautiful and i fell in love with her but at that time i had a girlfriend also. So i broke it off but hey i got to hit it oh yeah. But love is always good when its brand new, i dont think its okay i think you should date first and then make that decisions especially when there so many crazy ppl around nowadays.
