Realize that the situation will not magically change, the other person who's being a jerk won't magically change, and YOU are the only one who's going to change. That gives you control over the situation. Usually reminding yourself of this fact will calm you down. Also removing the stressors that you can remove helps loads for when you're dealing with the ones you can't :)

The moment you feel yourself getting angry, excuse yourself out of the room or area, possibly somewhere quiet. Take some deep cleansing breaths, say a prayer, meditate, or think a positive thought, then count to ten and go back inside. If you take yourself out of the situation for a few minutes and renew your mind, the moment of frustration will pass. ;)

hold ur teeth together tightly and force a small smile while counting to 10 in ur head, if you dont like counting thinkk happy thoughts......cheese cake, chilling on a beach in Jamaica etc.
If that fails remove urself from the situation and go to a room, cover ur ears and scream, after screaming take a few deep breaths and-whalaa!

One best way to remain cool is come out of the place and try to bring the face of someone you love. It may be your mother or father or anyone else.

Why is your temper coming out anyways?? You should be happy during a special occasion, not angry!! Remind yourself that it is a happy time and you shouldn't be mad at anything...

Have a word and image that calms you that you repeat and visualize until you calm down. It helps. A lot of people find visualizing a spiritual icon and repeating/chanting their name (aloud or silently) helps.

My blood has a very low boiling point and my fuse is too short. Therefore, It is too hard for me to do it! I know it's not politically correct but it feels sooooo good opening up your relief valve and letting off high pressure superheated steam!
