I don't know about mudane, but this is the traditional wording:
Mr. & Mrs. John Q. Public (name of bride's parents) request the honour of your presence at the wedding of their daughter, [first, middle names] to [grooms first and middle name], son of Mr. & Mrs.John T. Doe (grooms parent's names) at two o'clock in the forenoon (or P.M.), on Saturday the 17th of November, 2006 at [location of ceremony]. Reception to follow at [location of reception], at five o'clock in the forenoon (or P.M.)[time of reception].
If any of the parents are deceased, substitute as follows: "Mr.or Mrs. [first name, middle initial, last name] and the late Mr.or Mrs. [first name, middle initial, last name]"
