For those of you who told me I was crazy when I told you what I wanted myself and the bridal party to wear at my wedding in Jamaica (and for anyoen else too!) what do you think about these:

Weddding dress

Maid of H onor/Flower girl (both will be made-flower girls will be made with a sweetheart neckline and spghatti straps rather than the halter). Maid of Honor in burnt orange, flower girl in champagne

Guys will wear black pants (or do you think it should be khaki??), a white shirt, and a tie to match the dresses.
And again--no shoes!

Then, at the reception back home, I'll probably have them wear tuxes.

What should I wear? Since it's September should I wear sleeveless dress, should I stick with light summer colors or go with darker colors. I really would love to wear my black skirt but i'm not sure if it's appropriate to a wedding. I hear that has changed now & that is ok but what do you think?? I've gained a few lbs and nothing in my closet is looking appealing right now.......HELP!

Reworded Question: My wedding party lives about an hour and 1/2 away from where the wedding is. The rehursal dinner is the night before...who whould pay for the room the night of the rehursal dinner? I'm not paying for the room the night of the wedding...but I think I should pay for the night of the rehursal dinner before the wedding so they don't have to drive back and fourth. We have our hair appointment in the morning...etc. I can't take the chance of anyone being last and I don't want to be stressed out. I feel like I should pay for the room the night before, but not the night of the wedding. What do you think? Any advice?

I have permanent resident status in UK and got married recently. Our marriage is love match and we got married against our parents. My wife visa rejected by British High Commision in India since they do not believe that ours is true love. Can you please somebody give an idea to bring my wife to UK who is left alone by her parents and waiting for me.

Just out of curiosity really, as I've heard many stories of "1 or 2 month's salary", jsut wondered if there is a 'standard' amount that people tend to spend?

Looking through these magazines, every dress is over $1,000. I want a simple, elegant gown, nothing too fancy--but the ones I pick out seem to cost a butt load. Any tips on finding a great dress at a good price? Or should you just buy whichever one you like no matter the cost?

My wedding is fast approaching (october 28th) and I need to submit a song list to my DJ asap. What are good songs for:
mother/son dance?
introductions?
bridal party dance?

etc.... ? The only 2 I have picked out now are for Our 1st dance, and father/daughter dance....?

Thanks!

I have 3 diffrent kinds of cakes already included in the buffet dinner. I've gathered that the cake cutting/eating tradition is to signify the couple's first meal together and that it should be something sweet. Besides, doesn't the fountain look nice?

I'm having my wedding reception next yr and i'm worried about my guest lists. I only have limited number of places and i have quite a number of friends and colleagues to invite. Should I invite my boss too even though i don't really talk to him unless necessary? He is not my immediate boss. I don't even feel like inviting my immediate boss.

We are very close to many people in our church, but the cost of the reception dinner will prohibit us asking them to the wedding. Is it appropriate to have an open wedding, with a closed reception?

My fiancée and I have been engaged for a year and a half but are only now in the position to afford it. But we are finding it difficult to decide what to do.
At first I wanted to get married in a church as that was the traditional thing to do, but as neither of us is religious, my fiancée said he didn't want to do that. But I find a registry office not that special and quite impersonal.
Also the reception, I thought of putting a marquee and my mum’s garden as the family home has always been my favourite place and it is big enough. But because of past issues with family my partner wanted somewhere neutral and not at my mums. Neither of us wants a fancy sit down meal etc for a reception.
My fiancee has said he doesn't want the wedding and the reception to be in the same place either!
We did consider abroad but as family is important decided against it!
We both want it to be special!
So basically we're stuck as to how and where to have a wedding?
And suggestions greatly appreciate

I live in an upscale apartment complex and my neighbors upstaris who just moved in about 3 weeks ago have been going at it!!!! Every single night about 9:30-10:15t or so it's loud sex with a freakin squeaky bed! It has waken me up 2 times and prevented me from sleeping about 10 times. What can I do. Manager? Leave a note on their door? Maybe some WD-40. I really want it to stop. Thanks!
