My wedding is fast approaching (october 28th) and I need to submit a song list to my DJ asap. What are good songs for:
mother/son dance?
introductions?
bridal party dance?

etc.... ? The only 2 I have picked out now are for Our 1st dance, and father/daughter dance....?

Thanks!

Hmmm- I don't know any songs about the love between a mother and her son or Mom "loosing" her son to marriage.

Introductions- ? Are you looking for soft instrumental to be played while introducing guests and bridal party members? You could go with anything instrumental- from Kenny G to Bethoven (Wassermusik!)

You'll want to consider the theme of the reception- formal? casual? modern? traditional?

What kind of music do the bride/groom like? country? hip-hop? classical? rock? R&B? jazz?

I know you've already picked this one, but... new country song out- "I loved her first"- great for bride and her dad dance! "... The love of a father runs deep..." makes me cry every time!!

I was just married in August. Here are some ideas for you:

Introductions: Austin Powers Theme song or Pink Panther theme song or Weapon of Choice (Fat Boy Slim)
Bridal Party Dance: You've got a Friend (James Taylor) or Thank You (Dido)
Mother/son dance (why not have the groom dance with his mom when you dance with your dad?) I hope you dance Leeanne Womack

CONGRATULATIONS AND HAVE FUN!!!

For a mother/son dance, my recommendations would be either the new song "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts or even "Wind Beneath My Wings" by Bette Midler.

Hope this helps! Good luck and congrats!

I got married this past May. We danced to "God Bless the Broken Road" by Rascall Flats. And also to "Oh Baby I love your Way" by Mig Ayesa (He was in Rock Star INXS). I couldnt even tell you what I danced with my father to - I couldnt find one I liked. But when we entered, the dj played "Oh Yeah" by Yello. It was so funny! Good luck!!!

i'd say... go with ronan keating...

his last album - "10 years of great hits" - was a major success...

songs like "when you say nothing at all" & "we've got tonight" & "she believes (in me)"... are good choices!

i wish u a happy marriage life with joy & careness... good luck & don't keep both of you parents waiting 4 grandchildren! :)

Anything by Josh Groban and you will be fine. His songs are very romantic and beautiful.
