My question has several parts:
1) Why do people get married in the spring or summer? I mean, it is ONLY becuase of the weather, or are there other ritualistic reasons?
2) I live in NE Ohio (we have cold, snowy winters). What are some of the advantages and disadvantages of a winter wedding?
3) What about a wedding near Christmas time... positives and negatives.
Any thoughts would be great, Thanks!

Well, here is the deal, my boyfriend just aked me to marry him and we are alittle short on cash. We have a chapel and a reception area, enough for 50 people and nothing else. All I need to know is what about the dress, rings, etc.

My grandma's getting married- again! I can't believe it! She's only known this guy for like, two months and she's moving in with him! I don't want her to move and neither does my cousin, who is my age, and we have so many memories of the house she's living in.... Part of me is happy for her and the other part of me is very selfish about it.
I'll also have tons of step-cousins who will probably be really snooty.

My mother-in-law's friend is throwing me a bridal shower in 2 days. I do not know her, nor anyone attending aside from my mother-in-law to be. Is it proper to give the host a gift as a token of my appreciation for throwing me a bridal shower?

We are getting married on a tropical island. Much of the planning has been done over the phone and internet. It is a private wedding - no guests. What would you do?

I keep having dreams about ex boyfriends - who are total loosers. My man and I have been friends since we were 14 and we have been seriously involved for the past 3 years. We have a year old daughter. I adore him!! I love our family and our life together!! Why am I fantasizing about the loosers of my past?

I am a bridesmaid in my brothers wedding. We (the bridesmaids) are discussing the bachelorette party. I would like to know if it is reasonable to ask the friends of the bride (those not in the wedding) that are invited to the bachelorette party to help with the cost of transportation etc. We are considering having the bachelorette party in a larger city near us (about 2 hours away) at one of the local bars in the city. The cost of a limo would be extreme if only the three bridesmaids split the cost. I was invited to a bachelorette party recently and was told it would be $$xx amount of dollars if I wanted to go which would cover the cost of transportation. I didn't think twice when I was asked for that money. But as I read responses on here it seems that people are saying it is rude for the bridal party to ask for the "other guests" to pitch in for the cost of the limo etc.

Were getting married in the spring and our theme is fairytale kind of like Cinderella and Prince Charming. Were getting married in my parents field, where I live now. But were having our reception at a banquet hall. Does anyone have any ideas for decorations, favors, colors, or food? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Think of this, if the boys parents reject the girl citing family background , how should the couple plan their future and married life, what steps can be taken to avoid trouble? What problems would come more than rejection? Is there any way to avoid the rejection...

Please answer me...
