Be happy for grandma! She will be just fine. It's really great that she found someone to be with. You don't want her to grow lonely, right? You aren't losing her, so don't worry about that. You're sooo lucky to have your grandma with you. My grandma is not with me any longer, and she was my favorite person in the whole world. I would give up a whole lot to have her back, so just be thankful and show grandma how happy you are for her! I wish you all lots of luck!

Congrats to your grandma! She doesn't have as much time left as you and your cousins do, so it's understandable that two months is all it took.
Plus, have you thought that maybe it's the memories in the original house that are making her move?
Geriatric marriage is often more about loving companionship than passion. I'm sure you don't want your grandma to be lonely if she doesn't have to be, right?
It's good that you realize that part of you is being selfish about it. You know that its in her best interest and that she can do what she likes with the life she has left. You'll get better at silencing that selfish part of you until it really is gone.
Best of luck!

Your grandmother is a grown woman. She deserves to be happy just like the rest of us. Quit being so selfish. Think of the new memories that will be made. As for your step-cousins. If you haven't met them yet then you should wait before making that assumption. They may be very nice people afterall. Also meeting them with that kind of attitude will surely cause some animosity as most people can sense when someone else isn't very happy to be meeting them.

I can see why you have mixed feelings about everything. I would too. The funny thing I noticed about older folks is they really need companionship. My Dad is 73 and is dating. Be happy for your Grandma. Up and above being your Grandma she is a person first. Sometimes we forget to look at out parents and Grandparents as being people. Heck, your Grandma may be making a mistake, that's what us humans do. Then she will need a friend, and I am sure you will make a good one for her.

I say good for her if he treats her good and she is happy. Let her be there are things as prenaps that he can sign so she doesn't get sewed if anything happens. Being there for your grandma would be very good for her it's telling her that you care how she feels. And if something does happen you will be there in need that is a great gift coz you never know how long their relationship will last (marriage) be strong and there for her.

It seems to me you are being selfish. You should be happy for your grandmother. She deserves to have a life too. I'm sure that when your time comes for marriage she will do all that she can to help you, and make you and your significant others life a pleasant as possible. Give her the same love, understanding, and courtesy.

Your grandmother is a grown woman and can make her own choices- all you have to do is support her and love her and be there for her when she needs you. You are not to pass judgement on her and as long as that fellow treats her like a queen- then there will be no problems.
If other family memebers cant deal with that- they need to grow up. Young people do it all the time!

Wait until you get to know them before you judge them. I have found out that alot of people that I thought were snooty at first have turned out to be really nice. And also , some people that I thought were really sweet turned out to be jerks. Just be happy for your nanny.

I think anyone who finds happiness, especially at any age should have the support of people who love them. It's great that your Grandmother is getting married. Be loving and kind to her.
