My girlfriend was at a wedding where she said they served Kentucky Fried Chicken as the main course- I promise I didn't make this up, it really did happen! And reason why they had KFC was b/c the bride decided at the very last minute to have the reception (yea, heard she's an indecisive idiot) so there was no time to arrange catering. LOL!
Seriously, I'm only telling this story as a bad example- do not follow in their footsteps! If you want to serve chicken that's fine, but chicken fingers is almost as cheesy as KFC- it's a bad, bad idea.

Didn't Britney Spears have chicken fingers at her reception when she married KFed?
I think that is enough said.
I like comfort food as much as the next person, but chicken fingers at a wedding might be taking it too far.
And, btw, I am from Southern Illinois, capital of the fried chicken and mashed potatoes wedding reception, but chicken fingers are even past fried chicken.

I just got married 2 months ago and we did a buffet. We had blackened chicken, pork tenderloin, and chicken fingers. The chicken fingers were mostly for the kids, but every adult grabbed at least one! Everyone loves chicken fingers! If you're having a more casual wedding, then go for it. But you may want to offer one other choice. Good luck!

I believe that it is inappropriate for a main course. If you want to serve chicken I think another form would work better for you.

How do you want people to view your wedding? Chicken Fingers will make it more McDonalds than Ritz Carlton. They are your guests - would you serve chicken fingers if you were having a dinner party?

You can pretty much get away with serving anything at weddings these days! Everyone loves chicken fingers, so why not?!

If that's the type of wedding you want, then fine. Me, I'd want something a little more special, but if that's what you want, then by all means have them. You might want to consider offering those as an hor'duerve, rather than a main dish. Best of luck to you!
