I'm going to a friend's wedding tomorrow and I am really going to be pushing it with the time due to an unforseen and unavoidable work commitment.

The ceremony is at 2.30pm, followed by the reception at 4.30pm

My question is this:

What will be the general opinion if I turn up to the ceremony (church) in my work clothes (tailored pants and smartish top - more on the casual side for Saturday duties), then duck home and get glammed up and return to the reception in appropriate attire.

I don't want to look like I didn't make the effort for the ceremony, but I don't want to go to work in a cocktail outfit!

Will my idea work, or will it look like a social faux pas?

I work in a health care profession and wear latex gloves all day. I am recently engaged and absolutly love my diamond ring and don't want to take it off during the day. Someone once told me that the latex eventually (overtime) affects the clarity of the diamond perminantly. I can't find any evidence to support this.....can anyone be of any help please?!

Hey everyone, ok am about 3 months away from my wedding and I already have purchased my dress and was fitted for my size before which was about 15 lbs larger. Is it pretty comman to get a dress sized down, I guess im in a sorta panic mode and worried I wont be able to get it sized.

Me and my boyfriend are talking about marraige however i was trying to think of a good song to play at my wedding. I wanted to play "butterfly kisses" as the (father bride dance) however my father is no longer with me. so i will have my brother give me away is there any kind of song that i can play that would go with that situation? insteed of the song i had wanted which i think would be inapropriate to play.

For my upcoming wedding, I want to give mint tins as favors (altoid size tins). I've created the graphics and now I'm just looking for a place that will customize the tins with MY graphics. I don't need the mints included as I'll be filling them with candy of our choice.

P.S. I'm on a "modest" budget.

I am due to get married at the end of the year but recently have found myself thinking of my exes with some regret. I've never been one to look back but now certain songs have set me thinking and I've been dreaming about some of them too.
As I have only ever slept with my fiance I figured maybe that was it and that I'm subconsciously thinking I've missed out in some way.

I am the maid of honor for my best friends wedding, and I am in the process of planning her shower. Her and her future hubby already live together in a condo. I do not want to have a money shower for her. I think that is so impersonable. Does anyone have any ideas on what type of shower I could throw for her.

I am looking for somewhere to take our Bride for her last night of fun in/near St. Louis. (The bride lives in the city, I live in the metro-east, and another Bridesmaid lives in Carbondale [SIU].)

Honestly, I want to get her trashed, and just be stupid.

Hi, I like to sing. My friend will have karaoke at her wedding this weekend. Unless I am asked, I will not sing. I don't think it is right to intrude on their day.
