If an American girl marries an Indian boy, where do they get married? His family's almost all in India, hers is all in the USA.

If his parents decide to pay (and be nontraditional) how is the best way to handle inviting her family to a wedding that costs some $1000 per person or more to get to?

**ADDITION** Same religion, so there's no problem there.
I just want the most cost effective, so no one goes into debt, and no one feels like the wedding excludes them because "they know we don't have that kind of $$"

Could you hold two weddings? Are you going to convert to Hindu or stay Christian (I'm assuming on both)?

Could you have a wedding in the US and invite those who wish to attend the Indian wedding attend as well?

Or you could hold the wedding in India and have a second reception in the US with your family and friends?

Is holding two small weddings an option?

Are they interested in visiting the US? Would they be able to get around on their own?

Does a cruise ship wedding interest you? Perhaps around the Mediterranean?

for that price - rent a cruise ship and have it in international waters. everyone will be neutral.
