I will be the maid of honor for my sisters wedding, I have never been a maid of honor so I was wondering what duties they typically do for the wedding and bride.

I need opinions. I am having a very informal reception following my wedding, just fingerfoods and drinks...then a huge cook out after. I have about 100 guests that will be attending. My question is on the seating, should I provide enough tables and chairs for all the guests to sit or should I do seating at tables for 75 and then have groupings of chairs around the room since it's very informal? My fiance and I are torn between the two. The reception itself is only about 2 hrs, with light music provided by an instrumental trio.

My boyfriend and I have been together for 8 months and its a very close family that I have become a part of. His sister's wedding is very special becuase it is the first of that generation and their mother passed away a few years ago. I really want to do somehting special for her but I can't think of what. I don't want to do the whole shadow box with the invitation thing, something touching. Any ideas??

We have had to cut down on numbers due to finance. There will be a photographer and 2 videographers plus two people who are playing in the band. Apparently we are expected to give all those people a meal and drinks, the same as all the guests. That adds a lot to our bill and I don't think they should expect it. What do you think and what is the custom in other countries?

I like the beachy color scheme (blues, blue-greens, white, tan), although my wedding will be in the country in the summertime at sunset. Would different hues of blues, greens, and white be okay for a country wedding? I can sort of picture it in my mind and it looks pretty, but I wish I could throw something together to know what it would really look like before the big day next July.

I have also had the suggestion of using sunset colors (pinks, oranges, blues, yellows)? I know that would be pretty too.

Any suggestions for how to see these colors together and pick the ones that are right for the wedding?

ive asked so many questions about this in the past 3 hours so im just gonna come out and say it......... im turning 17 so is she we are madly in love when she god sick and the ambulance came i never left her side and she asked me not to we have had our ups and downs everyone keeps trying to break us up but we have stuck through it all i have even alked 13 miles from my house just to see her in 89 degree weather just to see her for 4 hours and then walked back to go to work we are completely dedicated to each other we cant stand to be without each other for even an hour i love her with all of my heart and soul........friday im asking her to marry me im going to askher on the radio when im with her at her house that way when i ask her on it i will be able to get on my knee and hand her the ring and also our song will go on after i ask her but the ring is real silver but fake dimond but it looks good could someone plz tell me there opinion i really want to be with her forever and shedoes2

Our wedding is 5/26/07 and we've decided we'd like to scatter silk rose petals around the centerpiece in just the middle of the table. How many rose petals do we need for each table? It seems like when buying in bulk, quantities are sold in increments of 500-- i.e., 500, 1000, 1500 etc. We will have 200 guests- 25 guest tables, a head table, cake table, and gift table.
