My cousin's wedding shower is this weekend and I want to get her some items for her Honeymoon, a Caribbean Cruise. I don't know what size she wears so I can't get flip flops. My ideas so far are: Beach bag, beach blanket, towels, book gift card....Can you think of anything else?! QUICK!

I have my wedding all planned out and ready to go but my step-mother is trying to get me to change everything. When we picked out the tuxes for the guys she didn't like them and wanted my dad in something she liked. I know she would like to help me out but I really don't like her ideas. I have tried talking to her about it but she still insissts on trying to change everything. My mom is getting just as p***ed off as I am. What can I do to get her to stop?!

I am trying to save money by having a buffett. A nice one but not to expensive. I was thinking carving stations and a few side dishes? is this too tacky?

I'm MOH and starting to plan the shower. I know I need to ask about the guest list, date & time. What else should I consult the Bride about for the planning of her shower?

The shower is for 50 guests, and neither hostess' home can accommodate that many. Any ideas for less expensive venues in and around the capital region? Cheapest restaurant found so far was $13/person!

Would it be trashy or gross to have port-a-potties, port-a-johns, portable restrooms, or whatever you want to call them at our outdoor ceremony and reception?

It is possible that we will have our ceremony somewhat far away from any house or building. (I know some of you will think that is the stupidest thing ever, but we aren't making our location decision based on whether or not there are restrooms.) We will think of something if the perfect place is somewhere without permanent restrooms.

As much as I hate the thought of having them there, I can't think of ANY other options other than having the ceremony and reception somewhere else. Is there any way to disguise them or somewhere to put them that they won't be as obviously there (not in view during ceremony)?

EWwwww.... The thought of it just kind of ruins my "wonderful day" feeling. LOL

Any suggestions?

Has anyone had to use them before for a wedding?

I appreciate the info!
