My dream is to be married by the water but to have the reception inside. It seems like anything near the water is expensive. Does anybody know of a banquet hall in the Macomb Twp., Michigan area that is reasonably priced that is near the water?

i am getting married soon and i want to wear flip flops! i hate dress shoes and i want to be comfy on my wedding day! i am known for wearing my "flippers". my dress is long so you wont be able to see them unless i lift my dress up. my dress is pearl (not white or ivory) and i am using claret and silver colors! do u know where i can find a pretty pair of pearl, claret or silver flip flops? i dont want just rubber ones, i want something that looks nice - with no heel whatsoever! i have looked everywhere online and cant find any! any suggestions?

do you think they are just silly and old fashioned and not worth honoring? Do you both live up to your wedding vows or just do whatever you like? If you honored your vows, would your relationship be better or not? Why don't more folks honor their wedding vows? Do you even remember any of your vows? What good are the vows?

I know my boy probably wouldnt sleep with a stripper, or at least I`d like to think he wouldnt. I was reading a question asked earlier about it being tradional for guys to do this, and it made me feel really sick. Does antbody else feel the same? Or do I just care too much?

I would like to be able to find somewhere online that I can print a card, but I would like to have something with why copper/wool is the traditional 7th anniversary gift. I got my husband on old, 1933, very old copper mug w/buddy already on it. He will have no idea why I am giving him this. So that is why I would like to find a card..
Thank you

My boyfriend and I (I won't call him my fiance until I get the ring, which means waiting another couple weeks) are having a baby in February. If all goes well I hope to lose most of the weight by the end of Spring and we're aiming for a mid/late summer wedding. With the baby, and us deciding I'm going to stay at home for the first year or so we really need to save money, but we're not putting the wedding off forever to save. Aside from my dress, which is my mother's old wedding dress that I'm having a few alterations done to (wedding present from another friend), we need to cut back on the costs of everything! Our wedding party said they'd each cover their own tux/dress, but we each have so many family members, and friends we don't want to leave out, that we're looking at 150+ guests. We want to find a scenic outdoor place for the wedding, so that should be pretty inexpensive, but what else can we do to save money? I'm mostly concerned about the reception...please help!

I am having a wedding around halloween. I want the person who catches it to actually be able to use it, instead of tossing the flowers a day later. I also need something that obviously won't hurt anyone when it is thrown

Do you believe a man should present an engagement ring WHEN he asks his lady to marry him or that he should present a closed box? If it were me I think I'd want a closed box not showing the ring while being asked. Ladies?

I really want "pink" to be the color of my wedding party but I am running into some problems. We just booked the wedding for Nov 3, 2007. I was considering letting them wear david's bridal pick your own top and bottom. They only have a two pinks- a light one and a fushia one. Everyone hates the fushia one and I can't blame them- it's a funny purple color in person and looks terrible on everyone. I am considering letting them wear the light pink tops with black skirts... but looking at the lay out now.. it's not very fall looking. I am started to plan out the flowers and favors so I need to get a color theme together. Anyone have any suggestion to how I can make pink look more fall? Or should I change the color to a red or garnet?- the only reason I don't want to do this is I think it will look like everyone else fall wedding.

i am getting married in dec. well my fiance proposed to me last october and soon after (still in oct) i asked one of my friends to be a bridesmaid. she said she would love to be and was excited about it. i told her i had the bridesmaid dresses picked out and told her the place and price. i told her she could go get fitted anytime and start making payments on the dress if she couldnt pay for it all at once. (i picked out a least expensive dress so it wouldnt be a burden on anyone) it was only like $120. I told her she could start sending payments in when she got fitted if needed because she would have 14 months to pay for it. she said that was no problem and she would just go ahead and get fitted and pay for it all at once. i said that is fine. i got a call about 3 weeks ago from the bridal shop and was told that my bridesmaid dress was going to be discontinued and i only had 2 weeks to get my bridesmaids in to be fitted ot else they could no longer order the dresses. all of my

I want to have a destination wedding in North Carolina which is 6 hours from my hometown. There would be 2 large beach houses rented out for all the guests to stay in from Thursday to Sunday, with the wedding being on Saturday evening. Do you think a 6 hour drive is asking to much from people for a 4 day weekend in the summer? What if there was a bus rented for those who can't/won't drive? Our guest list includes about 70-75 close family, friends, and kids.
