The first time I was pregnant, I had been trying for a while, so I was excited, thrilled and nervous all at the same time. My 2nd pregnancy was achieved without infertility treatments, so my first reaction was "no way...." I was shocked and felt that there was a reason it had happened without the treatments. Then I felt very humbled and in awe. There's no "right" way to feel, I've had friends who have gotten pregnant with a surprise that have been downright angry (with their husband) over it. If you're having a hard time dealing with it, just give it some time. And congratulations!! Your life will never be the same again. ;-)

Any way that she feels. No script here -- except -- any woman contends with how she is "supposed to " feel as wellas how she really feels -- and that's all in the first 3 seconds of knowing. Odds are -- even a woman who wanted to be pregnant and was planning on it -- has second, thrid, fourth ... doubts... and imaginings galore!

I cant speak for every woman...but when I find out my husband and I are having a baby (not planning on it for about 3 or 4 more years) I will be jumping for joy and i know he will too. we are both excited to have a baby someday so finding out I'm pregnant would be one of the greatest days of my life.

I was very excited and then scared! The thought of being responsible for another life scared the heck out of me. Then excitement came back and I couldn't wait until my daughter was born.

It depends on the situation. If she was wanting a child and if she was married or involved with someone. I was excited and scared all at the same time.
